Astro City should be a TV series

I hear that Astro City might become a movie, which would be great. But I would LOVE to see this as a live action TV series. The book is set up to tell stories about various heroes, villains, and citizens, from around the city. Its set up to work like a TV series would. The heroes are arch types that most people are familiar with, the Superman type, the Batman type, the Captain America type, the Spider-Man type, the Wonder Woman type, etc. One issue is about the Samaritan, the next about Jack in the Box, another episode is about the past heroes like the original Honor Guard with Silver Agent and Old Soldier, etc. The hard part might be the effects, but if shows like Buffy and Smallville can do it then maybe so could Astro City.

I'd be on board. From how you described it, it would work better as a series.

Thanks. In an interview I watched Kurt Busiek described Astro City as not being about one superhero, but about everyone in the city, or around the city. Said that the reason it has taken this long is that studios would say lets make a Samaritan movie and make it just a traditional superhero movie. I know that you cannot just make a TV series if no one is buying it but I think it would work better as a tv series personally.
