Sci-Fi Avatar: Fire and Ash

I was hoping for Dua Lipa but alas...

I was fine during Way of Water at 3:12 so an extra three minutes won't hurt me. But all in all that's still about a 4 hour event when you factor in trailers so I still think the idea of a brief intermission while Pandora ambience plays on the screen isn't so bad either.

I think it's crazy how Fire and Ash and Titanic are both 3 hrs 15 mins long and both have release dates of December 19th for their respective years.

They used to have intermission. We had one when my mom took me to see Ghandi. That was 3 hours long.

Yeah, I saw Gandhi as well with my school back in the days, and there was an intermission. Never would I've thought that in the future there would be even longer movies without intermission.

I can only think it's because most people just stream at home now. Still, for the price you pay for the theater ticket they could at least give you a chance to pee halfway through, lol.

I'm not a fan of the intermission personally as I can't think of anything that would break my immersion of a movie more than pausing the movie and taking a 10 minute break to leave the room. If it's a first time viewing I always want to see it in one go without any distractions even if I can also feel the 'fatigue' from sitting still for a movie that long.

But I also understand some people suffer from that more and some people seem to need a bathroom visit every 1-2 hours so I can see why the intermission would be appealing to some.

Yep, especially as I am getting older. Holding a pee in for 3 hours or more is tough in your 40's.
