I think the gap between 1 and 2 will be the true test. Seriously. 11 damn years.
Is it bad that my eyes immediately searched for the lone two black dudes in that shot?![]()

More than the 11 year gap between 1 and 2?
I will continue to believe it when I see it.
The problem is that he wants it to be. it should have come naturally. he should have made 2 or 3 movies in 10 years and end it.I guess Cameron really wants this to be his legacy.
There needs to be a sense of familiarity or they will not be able to sell it worldwide. This s.. got to expensive.Do you think the script will be more original or will it play on tropes of other films?
t:December 18, 2020Cameron said he was going shoot the sequels "faster and cheaper." There was one interview where he said he was going to make them for $150M apiece, but now I can't find it.
Avatar did spend a month of mo-cap photography, then another for live-action shots. And that was it. Most of the time (and money) spent on the film was on the complex VFX.
There is no way Cameron will use the same performances from 7 years ago for his last movie. i am using 7 years because they will do the motion capture before the first movie comes out.
Once people see the trailer it'll blow them all away and everyone will be talking about it. It's the sequel to the biggest film of all time.
Seriously. If anyone can change the time gap problem its Cameron.
Yikes! 2020 is still a long time!
