Iron Man 2 Avengers discrepency? (SPOILERS)

very much possible no? Thor could be before Incredible Hulk. Doesn't the military try dealing with Thor/Asgard in the Thor movie? Kind of opens it up to them/SHEILD coming back and pressing Stark for a bigger role.

Even then they want Iron man but they aren't too giddy about the man behind the suit. Obviously they are keeping him in the loop so later on they can form the team with him in it. Hell its possible Tony is the only person they have who is interested. Captain America, Hulk, and Thor havent even been contacted or found.

Its my belief that they are already people in the Avengers Initative before IM. In the scene at the end of IM Fury tells him he isnt the only superhero...now a superhero team isnt put together if one person comes out on the scene

Yup and as a consultant they have him go to Gen. Ross to tell him what's going on. Something for him to do while proving himself to Nick Fury. It's funny when Stark is reading that report and stops right after it says that Iron Man is team ready but not Stark. Shows how Nick Fury is needing IM but the man in the suit isn't responsible enough in his eyes.

Since that is before all the other movies my guess is that they already have Black Widow and who knows, maybe Hawkeye will make an appearance in the Avengers.

My hope is that Thor will take place in Asgard, total god fight with frost giants and the whole shebang...and then in the end he is cast down to earth and his hammer lands in New Mexico.

I suppose you could end it in a post credits scene with Tony meeting Thor on earth...but the movie itself really should be about Asgard.

I dont think BW will be an Avenger....Fury described he as a shadow.....besides it would be really redundant to have her being acrobatic and martial artsy and Cap doing the same thing....its why I dont think WM is going to be an Avenger either

i believe half the movie will be asgard and the other half will be midgard....they did cast Jane Foster

While I tend to think that BW will be in Avengers in some capacity (the studio would want a female...and Wasp aint happening) I dont think War machine would be involved. maybe the plan is to move War Machine into a franchise and have Iron Man in Avengers more than his own films.

I think they already confirmed quite some time ago that the majority of the Thor movie will be on Earth.

I really liked WM in IM2 but I really don't want him as an Avenger let alone in the film. Save him for some scenes in IM3. I just think depending on runtime and more importantly budget that there would be too many characters and if some of them are given barely any screentime it will be kind of pointless.

I want them to focus primarily on the team of IM, Hulk, Thor and Captain America. Hopefully with a couple of scenes with Ant Man helping out.

Same here but in the comics they usually have members of the team in different areas, hell they even had a West coast and East coast team too.

Like you, I don't see her fighting it out alongside the big four but they could always use her in a small way. Either way, if she's not even in the Avengers I won't be disappointed. I mainly want to see IM, Hulk, Thor, Captain America and whatever villain/s they use.

They were planning an Ant Man movie, which could introduce him and Wasp, but that has been scrapped. So, it seems like a handful to have to deal with an extra two characters when you already have a capable team full of stars.

One thing I loved about the movie is this movie I feel dispelled that idea people had that IM's box office would lead them to make Stark the prime focus and leader of the Avengers. This film showed exactly WHY Tony cannot lead a team, and it makes me very confident Cap is the main guy in Avengers, as he should be. Marvel gets it.

I am sure Stark will become an official member in Avengers. Remember, he said that Stark was BEGINNING in a consultant role. He never said Stark had no shot to become a member ever. Big difference.

Marvel is a business it gets dollars. Theres no way rdj is not going to be the front and center of the avengers movie. You really believe the guy who played johnny storm will be given main stage? Downey's pressence alone wouldn't allow that.

No it won't.

1. Captain America will have much better advertising (Marvel focused so much on Iron Man they didn't market much for TIH).

2. Captain America won't have a mediocre predcessor in recent memory hanging over them (therefore the 90s one won't count).

3. Captain America is a much more popular character than the Hulk.

btw the Incredible Hulk was a success on video, so it wasn't that bad.
