Really have to hand it to Avatar, when a culmination of 22 movies with multiple stars, considerably higher budget, 11 years in the making, with more theaters, costlier tickets and inflation couldn't beat it.

If it does fall short of Avatar's rerelease number, it will be interesting to see how it compares to its initial release numbers.

Disney need to re-release Endgame at the end of the year. Maybe with some deleted scenes.

Wouldn't Infinity War and Endgame have a re-release one day anyway? I can't imagine they wouldn't.

It's going to pass Avatar, and it should get a nice boost over the holiday. There's a huge thunder storm warning that's covering most of the planes area in the states so I think that may drive more people to the theater as their outdoor BBQ's may get cancelled.

After beating Infinity War by a wide margin for the 1st and 2nd weekends EG struggled to do better numbers than IW for the 3rd and 4th weekend barely beating it.

1st w. $357,1 mil vs $257,7 mil
2nd w. $147,4 mil vs $114,8 mil
3rd w. $63,3 mil vs $62,1 mil
4th w. $30 mil vs $29,5 mil

I was worried with the estimates. Nice to see it not losing in such an early stage.

Im curious to see if it bests the $17,3 mil of IW's 5th weekend.

Still can never understand how TFA made $950 domestically. I mean, I know it's Star Wars but jeez, MCU has been building a diverse universe with very unforgettable characters. It has dominated the pop culture for close to a decade, I was so sure EG would at least cross the $900 million box office mark.

IFW did about 80 +/- domestic from this point. Wonder if the rest of the world can cover the balance if the US gets there? We're still got about 16 more weeks in release but revenues should start falling with a small bump around the FFH release thanks to the diehards among us.

Either way I'm looking for a close finish, especially given all the competition coming.

BTW the house of mouse is soooooo far ahead of anyone right now it's crazy. Plus they have Toy Story 4, Frozen 2, Lion King, and another Star Wars coming this year. . . . . I'm not seeing Aladdin doing much but who knows maybe I'll be surprised.

EG wont make $80 mil i think. Too much competition.

$75,5 mil US & $95,5 mil OS would be ideal me thinks.

$2765-2800 mil is the more likely range. Its gonna be VERY close.
