How is Spidey in the movie? What does he do that's of significance?

Got a few good kicks at Thanos, suggested Tony the way to defeat Maw and save, played a semi-prominent role in the plan to strip off Thanos's gauntlet.. And having one of the most emotional scenes in the the film

Sorry I haven't watch the film yet until tomorrow but it sounds to me the way Thano
turn everybody into dust at the end is quite similar to Famke Janssen's Dark Phoenix in "X men 3 the last stand", turning Professor X,Psylocke,Arclight etc into dust

At the end of the film, he does indeed.
Excuse my french, but what the effing f was the "so the bifrost is lost to us", "with the bifrost gone, how much dark energy did the Allfather have to muster to conjure you here", "the bifrost was destroyed, nine worlds erupted into chaos" and "there are other paths off Asgard, known only to a few"?

If they have the power of the Bifrost without actually having or even needing the Bifrost? Now they can use it like a subway, because it's convenient?

Why not move your people off the packed refugee ship then? Does it have free Wi-Fi?

Kind of, it's way more stressful for the audience though because it doesn't happen in unison, but instead delayed so there's a 2-3 minute sequence, where you have no clue who is going to turn to dust. It's emotionally draining to watch.

Thanks for the explaination.

I heard so many "what... not him/her" like comments, followed by loud moans.

I love it. That’s exactly what this film and story should be. Emotional and heartbreaking stuff. Ending on a downer. I dunno why some people are not okay with this because I’m not not sure what direction they thought this would be going in.

Some fans sound like they thought the heroes would defeat Thanos and his order and all would be well in 1 film. 10 years of buildup just for the usual 1 and done happy ending defeating the villain saving the day. If some people really thought that’s what was going to happen they are delusional.

long time reader, first time poster: i have to know if
Hugo Weaving plays Redskull. Someone on another board said he was played by David Schwimmer? Does Redskull die? Thanks

Hahahaha David Schwimmer.

No he's not played by him. It seems like he's either played by one of the three options below. The jury is still out actually.

1. Hugo Weaving.

2. Hugo Weaving and another actor who provided the voice early in the scene before he's revealed to be Skull. That actor might have also performed motion capture and Weaving may have just done the voice.

3. An actor who is able to do an excellent Hugo Weaving impression. In the latter part of the scene it is 100% Skull's voice from FA.

BTW. That Schwimmer comment made me think of this.

So,

who dies?

I'll just spoiler tag this just to be safe.

In this order:
Loki
Heimdall (^^both within the opening scene)
Gamora
Black Order (Maw is killed first I think)
Vision
It's fairly obvious that the rest being turned to dust will be brought back to life. Spidey, Black Panther, Strange among them.

I didn't find the movie as entertaining as some of the others, but it was fine. Liked the dark ending, even though it's obvious many of them will be back. The pacing seemed a bit off in parts and some of the script was a bit clunky.

Loved Thanos. They did a brilliant job with his character. Was surprised at how much time they spent on the Guardians and how little they spent on characters like Cap and Black Widow.

The post-credits scene was great.

but i also asked
does redskull die? do you think we will see him again?

No he's not dead. His fate remains a mystery after Thanos gets the Soul Stone. Hell it's possible Thanos brings him along.

Gotta say it felt very random. Is this from the comics?

I was telling my brother it took me a while to figure out who it was, even after showing his face (his first appearance is of him shrouded in a hood, almost looked like a floating skeletor...actually reminded me of one of the Ringwraiths from LOTR).

Also since the lighting of the scene hid his "red" skull, he was almost purple. I think it might've been the nose to finally clued me in. LOL He did sound like Red Skull from The First Avenger, though not sure if it was really Weaving.

Wow. So many emotions straight after seeing this movie.

The audience was mostly quiet throughout - a couple of laughs (maybe two). Pretty sure I heard a few sniffles as well.

Not sure how I feel about this yet. It didn't leave me with a 'The Last Jedi' feeling or anything in the sense of being unable to match my expectations - probably more death and sombre than I expected.

I got more entertainment from watching Drax very slowly eat nuts than I did from the entirety of The Last Jedi.

Yeah. We've seen hulk brawl in the past and get knocked around, but nothing on this level. Hulk is pretty much out of comission
I'm kind of mad as a huge Hulk fan. But I understand the necessity of such. Having Hulk being Hulk, it doesn't make Hulk any weaker. It just means Thanos is far far stronger.

I didn't see anyone eat nuts at all. They must have been blending in with the background really well :oldrazz:

Dave Bautista did study with the master after all. As seen in this picture below of Dave speaking to noone at all.

Bautista is a very talented actor. Much more talented than the Rock for me. He's capable of funny, entertaining role (Drax) yet he's also very good with serious ones (his per formance in just 10 minutes of Blade Runner 2049 is impressive as hell)

I agree. He was really impressive in Blade Runner.

They could have made it really emotional with Wanda cradling Vision's body with everyone surrounding her then she starts to fade too..

Wanda dies too? Oh god, this movie is gonna kill me. BP's death is going to drive the internet into a frenzy.
