I could see Charles Xavier being killed accidentally and Cyclops taking the fall and being imprisoned at the end of the event. Also maybe Wonder Man, dying to save those he still loves in the Avengers.

I dont see it. I wish the Avengers would butt out. They've taken a hands off approach to mutant issues and now they are going to try and get involved. I hope they dont come across as bullies but they've been awful in recent years. Look at what they did with Civil War. Before this event starts, Im already inclined to side with the X-men, especially since they are the ones with the vast experience with the Phoenix Force and have been protecting Hope for the last several years. I hope Scott tells the Avengers to leave them the hell alone

They mended some bridges there but there's still some animosity from what I remember.

A timeline of comics hasn't been revealed yet but it was stated in an interview that X-Sanction is something of a lead-in to the event so that might be a good thing to pick up if you're interested in Avengers vs. X-Men. I'll be getting it.

I dunno about Scarlett Witch, but I think Jean Grey should definitely come back. However, don't keep putting Phoenix Force in her because that would just give Marvel another reason to kill her in the future.

I think Marvel will bring her back. They've been teasing about her return ever since Whedon's run in Astonishing X-Men. And Marvel has expressed that they do want to bring her back, just under the right circumstances.

Just because Marvel had misused her in the past doesn't mean she shouldn't come back, and she is one of my favorite Marvel superheroes so I definitely want to see her back. Ideally, she will return and then proceed to dump Scott and maintain a platonic relationship with Wolverine so we won't get the same old love triangle again, and no more of that Phoenix Force nonsense as well.

I know. All the Avengers had was Hank Pym discovering what he thought was the suspended body of his dead ex-wife, which he used as the location for his interdimensional headquarters, only to later discover that it was the body of the dead wife of one of his old enemies instead.
