I was waiting for some similar rediculous tale involving the Fantastic Four

Or how about when Ms Marvel got raped by Scarlet Centurion and ended up giving birth to him. All the Avengers were pretty supportive about that. It's like wtf guys ?!?I know. All the Avengers had was Hank Pym discovering what he thought was the suspended body of his dead ex-wife, which he used as the location for his interdimensional headquarters, only to later discover that it was the body of the dead wife of one of his old enemies instead.

Yeah....I hated how Loeb is writing him and it seems as if Cable's been set up to be brought back, only to die again when this is done, which I hope is not the caseAnyone read the first issue of this? I flipped through it at the shop and it seemed like basically an excuse for Cap and Cable to fight for half an issue.

well he only has 24 hours, so going to protect Hope wont do anything especially since there is no immediate threat against her right now. His train of thought is that if he takes out the Avengers, then he eliminates that future threat. What makes no sense is that Blaquesmith just told him the Avengers go ater Hope, but he doesnt specify who. There are TONS of Avengers. Even if Cable takes out Cap A and his team, there's still plenty unnaccounted for and its implausible that Cable can eliminate them all within 24 hours. He doesnt have the power or resources to accomplish thatLet's just say this little prediction is true.....wouldn't Nathan's first instinct be to go to San Fran and grab Hope to protect her? He did it for almost 2 (story) years.
Loeb sucks.
Here's his quoteHahahahahahahaha, Cable as Captain America.
No, but seriously, though. That's hilarious.
Loeb talked about his affection for the character as it was the first monthly book he ever worked on at Marvel in the 1990s. "I always saw Cable as very much the Captain America of the X-Men." said Loeb, "A soldier from out of time who cared deeply for the people he worked with."

Okay, well, I can see that comparison. I thought he meant Cable somehow measured up to Cap as like the big, vaguely messianic "hero's hero" of the X-Men. Which he doesn't. At all.
well the TO virus is progressing at a rapid rate so maybe its affecting his brainI feel like there's a catch here, like for some reason Cable is just not in his right mind. Or maybe its not really Cable at all. I mean, there has to be an explanation....right?!??

I dont think Stryfe would care 1 iota about Hope...lol. Plus he was TO-virus free...or maybe it's Stryfe...![]()
He was the main villian in Messiah War. The story ended with Apocalypse killing him and taking his body as his new host, not that means anything as that has all been ignored since and hasnt been followed through withWas he a good guy last we saw him? I dont' remember. He was good in Bishop & Gambit. I don't quite remember his mindset in Messiah War.
Hahahahahahahaha, Cable as Captain America.

It was an alternate future, the real Stryfe has been long dead since X-Cutioners Song.
