Secondly, the FF stormed the Gates of Heaven and broke through, where they Met God (Jack Kirby) who healed Reeds face which got all melted by Doom, and sent them back to Earth with good ole Benjy and no memory of what went down. :o
Ooooohh DUDE!! ... and you guys thinks the *&^% i come up with is CRAZY?!?!
Man i dont care if i have to rob ,cheat or steal. I gotta get my hands on that BOOK!!
Freakin Kirby is GOD!!!

That whole run was great, from Unthinkable through Hereafter. It's one of the few times that I really got hooked in a Fantastic Four run.

I'll be picking this up. Mainly because I like Brubaker as a writer.

I think we'd be better off with another crossover battle, say the Avengers vs. the Justice League or X-Men vs. the Justice League. I know the comic book companies' crossover books are not all that uncommon either. I just read one of my old comic books Batman and The Hulk with the Joker in the mix. Not a bad book, I've read worse. Sometimes these epic superhero battles seem a little contrived...... no kidding, right?

Marvel has announced that they will be doing only one tie-in mini series to Avengers vs. X-Men: AvX: Vs. It'll be a six issue mini series by various creative teams about specific fights.

The first issue will have Iron Man vs. Magneto by Jason Aaron and Adam Kubert and the Thing vs. Namor by Kathryn and Stuart Immonen.

Yeah, I'll probably pick that up.

And I'd be a lot more excited about issue 0 up there if it weren't for Frank Cho.

We should get a raffle going. How many volumptuous butt shot panels are we going to get? I'm going to say 6. This is only one issue so it's a low number.

I'll probably be skipping this altogether, unless the Vs. mini has a good creative team on the Thor match-up (assuming there is one).

Shouldn't that be the shortest fight ever? I mean, even Wolverine has his healing factor if he's dumb enough to go up against Magneto. Iron Man's got... metal armor that he needs to survive his heart condition.

I'm not really hyped for this event. The X-Men just had a schism, now they have to come together to fight the Avengers? Prepare to be flattened, muties.

I dunno. The X-Men surpass the Avengers by sheer numbers alone and with members like Namor, Magneto, Rogue, Storm, Marvel Girl, Juggernaut Colossus, X-Man, Legion, and Doug Ramsay, the X-Men can put up a formidable fight against the Avengers as well.

I don't think the X-Men significantly outnumber the Avengers. We just see more of them on a regular basis because pretty much every mutant is considered an X-Man. The Avengers have a pretty huge reserves list too; we just don't see those characters because if they're not on the roster, they're not necessarily gonna be hanging around the mansion or the tower or one of the Avengers' satellite teams the way mutants always hang around the X-Men. The X-Men can definitely put up a good fight, but the Avengers have plenty of powerhouses too. It should be fairly even, provided the Avengers find some way to negate the X-Men's considerable psychic advantage.

I don't think that Marvel considers reserve Avengers anymore. And everything points to this event being the active members of both teams. There are currently 30 active Avengers, three of which are going to be siding with the X-Men in Avengers vs. X-Men. There are currently over 50 active X-Men before I gave up trying to figure out how many damn active X-Men there are.

One word....Magik. She can take out several Avengers at one time all by herself. There's a reason she was specifically targeted early in Second Coming. Add Hope to sync up with her and they pretty much have a powerhouse duo that can handle anyone the Avengers dish out to them

Which teams count as X-Men? Just the ones from Uncanny, WatXM, and Legacy? That seems like fewer than 50 characters to me, but I could be wrong...

The current active X-Men are: Armor, Age of Apocalypse Nightcrawler, Beast, Boom-Boom, Cannonball, Cecilia Reyes, Chamber, Charles Xavier, Colossus, Cyclops, Danger, Danni Moonstar, Dazzler, Deadpool, Deathlok, Domino, Doop, Doug Ramsey, Dr. Nemesis, Emma Frost, E.V.A., Fantomex, Frenzy, Gambit, Hope Summers, Husk, Iceman, Jubilee, Karma, Kavita Rao, Kitty Pryde, Legion, Lifeguard, Lockheed, Madison Jeffries, Magik, Magma, Magneto, Martha Johansson, Namor, Northstar, Pixie, Primal, Psylocke, Rachel Grey, Rogue, Sebastian Shaw, Stepford Cuckoos, Storm, Sunspot, Toad, Transonic, Velocidad, Warlock, Warpath, Wolverine, X-Man, and Zero. Which I believe (I may have counted wrong) is around 60 active X-Men.

This is not including students, residents of Utopia who are not active X-Men, Atlanteans, and prisoners of the X-Men.

The active X-Men are covered in Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine & the X-Men, X-Men Legacy, X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Force, Generation Hope, and New Mutants. There are also active X-Men who are not main characters in these books because there are just so damn many of them.

His magic trumps her magic any day of the week but her mutant power gives her the edge. Theyd have to catch her in a sneak attack and make sure to take her out first

Wait, is UXF involved in this? How? Why? I thought they were supposed to be secret.

Wolverine let his staff know about them in UXF 19. Besides being a secret doesnt mean they cant get involved. That didnt stop the group from being involved in past crossovers like Dark Avengers vs Xmen

Well, there's your problem. It's like 6 X-teams vs. 4 Avengers teams. That'd be why the Avengers are outnumbered. Damn muties never know when to go away. :cmad:

Well there's tons of overlap. X characters are on multiple squads. Many of them are in like 2 or even 3 books
