With the Guardians of the Galaxy being in this film, do we think there will be any cool 80s songs in the soundtrack?

I'd love to see The Final Countdown blare out as Thanos tears the Avengers apart.

Given Marvel's track-record as of late, I'm expecting at least one pop song, just that though. Maybe Star Lord will have a mix-tape on hand in his few scenes.

Not while Thanos tears the Avengers apart. Even Marvel knows that has to be a serious tone.

I think Star Lord will have more than just a few scenes. You don't pay for a big star like Chris Pratt and only have him in the film for 10/15 minutes. They'll want to justify the amount they'll be paying him, as he is probably their highest-paid in the film.

I'd expect Iron Man, Star Lord, Black Widow and Thor to be in the majority of the film, with the other characters either having twenty minute appearances, bit-parts or cameos.

I don't get why people are so concerned about a serious tone. Yes, you've got to be able to feel that Thanos is the serious threat he is, but at the same time there's got to be a sense of fun also. That's why the DCEU (bar Wonder Woman, as to be fair that was pretty successful) isn't working for Warner Brothers.

You know something can be fun without it being funny, right? I'm sure the movie will the usual MCU amount of humor, but it will be balanced with the drama and stuff. The Russos excel in that department.

And the reason the DCEU isn't working isn't because it's dark (there's a lot more problems to it than that simple generalization), it's because some of them, imo, are not well-made films. Tone is inconsequential if the writing, directing and characterization suck.

im counting on it :D

unlikely with Thanos doing that though. very likely when the Guardians comes in like the cavalry.

I'm sure we'll see Quill switch to a song on his Zune that will be heard throughout a whole action scene.

Im sorry but no. They better not. Guardians cant come in adjust the tone of this movie that has been built up for years. This better be the most serious and dark movie that marvel has put out.

This should be darker than winter soldier. No comedy at wrong parts. Dont make thanos a joke. Have SOME jokes at proper moments but i would refrain from comedy with thanos and also action sequences.

They need to bring back Shoot to Thrill in some capacity.

That’s an MCU trope I’m ok with. I can already picture some sort of Britney Spears/NSync/BSB song playing with a ton of shot going on:woot:

Would seem like a terrible waste of the Guardians if there wasn't at least one track played at some point.

Even TWS had Marvin Gaye for its epilogue.
