I'm going to have to go not only with google maps, but even farther and say Google Street View

Google Street view is one of my favorite things on the internet, it's such a sweet idea, and google has devoted a lot of time and effort into building up to the point that even a little crap peice of town like mine is decently well represented in street view

that and some of the stuff that has come up on there is hilarious, there are sites that collect these.

one of the craziest usages I've seen of street view is the recent Chrome experiment google did with the band the Arcade Fire. Its a music video that integrates google maps and streetview, just type in your home town.

Yeah, i only saw the first two series of skins, but they were also very impressive, some of the best UK tv ever.
and the Doc Who reboot is basically responsible for getting a new generation of kids into sci-fi.

and yeah, getting comic book movies that are faithful to the source, and having them successful is something i am also extremely grateful for. Never thought I'd see the day.
