According to Reuters, Activision "fraudulently induced" Rose by authorizing use of the song and told him they would not make reference "to the former GNR member or his subsequent band Velvet Revolver" in Guitar Hero III. Rose would later discover "an animated depiction of Slash, with his signature black top hat, long dark curly hair, dark sunglasses and nose-piercing" was featured on the box.

Suck on that Activision...even if the game is three years old by now.

Wait...wasn't Slash featured in one of the Guitar Hero commercials?

And you faced him in guitar showdowns. And you could unlock him as a playable character.

So, he's suing them because Slash was in the game, and he didn't want him in the game cuz he don't likey that guy?

He's suing them because they didn't honor the contract....as ridiculous as the agreement was.

No more ridic than wanting a glass sculpture of Marilyn Monroe's boobs filled with green M&Ms. Heh, Rock Stars. I would soooo do that if I was a rock star.

Like it or not, Axl is in the right. Activision didn't honor the agreement.

Actually, I'm more along the lines of indifference. Rich people fighting over silly rich people things. Meh.

As much as I hate Activision, this is ridiculous. It's about protecting Welcome to the Jungle and Sweet Child O' Mine? please it's about a has been needing money for the bills.

Wait, am I missing something? Slash being in the game has nothing to do with Axl Rose, last time I checked, Rose doesn't own Slash, pretty sure he's his own man.

EXACTLY. Thank you for saying this, because I was about to.

That's why this law suit doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Here's hoping he doesn't win. This is just stupid and a waste of our tax dollars. :hehe:

I think he thinks Activision tricked him in order to get the rights to use the songs in the game.

Who should I cheer for? On one hand, the lawsuit is beyond idiotic. On the other hand, Activision could use some humiliation.

Decisions decisions...

isn't gitaur hero 3 three years old....
how was this overlooked and only brought to light now :/

I did some digging and apparently, Axl Rose is suing Activision because SLash is a rival of his and they were both featured in the game as well as having Slash on the cover.

In otherwords, hes angry because him and his songs are in the same game as Slash...

Nope, Slash is in fact held under the brutal bondages of slavery, with Axl Rose as his tyranical master.

Axl Rose suing Activision makes sense. After all, the bill for Chinese Democracy gonna pay itself! :awesome:
