There is a breif example....now let's put it to a vote,

Do you like the Current art that Bachalo gives us?

I personally don't like it and I cannot stomache it. I cannot read the books he does. I still buy them cause I'm an idiot, I have a pile of boks waiting to be read and I would say 95% of them are drawn by Bachalo....I just cant read it.....His art makes it harder for me to understand the story.

Cool thread, yep, I am one of those that like it. I mean everyone has flaws but pull up some of his current X-Men stuff, its good stuff. Rogue - awesome. The way he draws LadyMastermind and Cyclops is awesome also. So yeah, I like his stuff.

Yeah... biased thread with the image 'n all...

I love him and his uniqueness, long live the B!

'Nuff said.

Give it time....whe day breaks the Haters will come a running.

Guess well just have to wait and see....

It's gonna be a close one.

Bachalo has lost sight of storytelling skills in favor of weirdness and distortion. His panels are so jumbled and messy that it becomes difficult to tell who is who and what is going on. Style is fine and good, but but when you have to sacrifice storytelling for it, then you should tone it back.

^ I dont think he gives up storytelling for his style. I think his style works really well, and with Carey's writing it is a perfect fit for the "Children of the Vault" stuff.

You didn't put a middle ground in your poll, therefore, i can't answer:cmad:

I'm an artist and I guess Bachalo's is just not my preferred style. It's way too cartoon-y. Also, I observed his very inconsistent. In some issues, he's particularly neat, and on others, they're just too ridiculously messy and that led me to just scan the pages (esp. the Rachel issues e.g. Deathmark). That was just bad. But like in #472, it was good. I don't know...but generally, not a fan of his style, but he actually do some great cartoony stuff...

I liked Bachalo's earlier work, but lately he's been rather sloppy and it's difficult to tell who characters are (like Bobby). I'm not sure if it's his new style, the inking or he's too rushed.

Yeh, his latest work in uncanny was bad. i hated his rachel:cmad:

Then you don't need a middle ground, you hate his most recent stuff, there for you don't like his art.

Yeah, as I've said before, he's really putting out some dirty work. When I say dirty, means it's a mess. But then he has some work that can redeem himself, the artist for Phoenix: Warsong, however, has none.

i voted like but i'm really indifferent. i liked his art for 192 but some of the pics of upcoming issues makes me less hopeful

Not true. When issue 191 of x-men came out, i was pissed because it was a different artist. They didn't look right. I reaized then that I liked his work. Look, i've said before, Bachalo's art is something you have to get used to.

I love his art. I'll buy a comic just because his doing the art on it.

I like his style. Some other pencilers lack the same originality that he has. His art has an edge to it. It has a slite anime feel to it which I like.

And the pendulum has swung!

And yeah, I like the slight anime feel too... adds even more definition to his style.
