"Woah! Since when did you become the physical type?!"

I wish they could of kept that actress who played Jennifer from the first movie to play her in the other two movies. And instead of Marty going back in time time to the west,it would of been cooler to see Marty go back in time to the biblical times.

A few echoes throughout the series:

The phrase "back to the future" is spoken several times in each film.
Doc & Marty's trademark terms, "Great Scott!" and "This is heavy" are repeated constantly. At one point in Part III, the two switch the lines.
Biff calls Marty "butthead" in each film, although in Part III, he says it accidentally.
Marty wakes up somewhere and says, "Mom..is that you?" in each film.
Tannen pushes down the main female character.
The camera pans across the DeLorean's destination readout before a time-jump.
Marty runs out of the cafe/bar and is pursued through the streets, even though his escape doesn't work too well in Part III.
Tannen ends up buried in manure at some point.
Marty's friend Needles says "How's it hangin, McFly?" in Parts II and III.

All three of them follow the same basic plotline. That's one of the points: history repeats itself.

I love these movies. They are probably the ones the i re-watch the most out of all my movies. BTW i also think the score is absolutely fantastic!

I was watching some interview the other day where Michael J Fox was making a movie with Peter Jackson (The Frighteners???) and it showed how in a few scened Michael would call out to another character by screaming "DOC!" by force of habit from making the BTTF films. I thought it was pretty funny.

BTTF is great. It is one of the few trilogies that stayed consistent in quality (the first was great, the other two were pretty good too).

I just watched the first one, it's so awesome! I love these movies!!

i find it hard to just watch one..w/o having the need to watch the other 2

And imagine how crappy it would've been if they used a fridge as the time machine like in the original draft?

My favorite trilogy ever since I saw the films back in 1991. Being born in 1985 helped.

i loved BTTF2 :D

hoverboards-- damn, when are those things gonna become real? :(
I've been wanting one for soooo long now :(

Good thing Crispin Glover left the series. It turned out to be for the better. I don't think the series wuld have benefited from having Marty visiting his parents as hippies.

Love these Movies Micheal J Fox was born to play Marty McFly. I wish Hollywood was as inventive as this today instead of making loads of lame sequels and remakes.

I wanted a damn haverboard since I was 7 years old dammit.
Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.

I remember back in 1985 when my family wanted to go see National Lampoons European Vacation and it was sold out, but in the line I saw a classmate who was there to see BTTF, he told me to go see BTTF instead.

I remember the theater being packed and I loved the movie.

There's something magical about how these actors are so perfect for their roles and everything came together so well: the music, the fx, the filmmaking. It was a phenomenal experience to see such quality coming out of my tv for the first time. There are soem other 80s flicks that have the same scifi/comedy thing going on but they're not as good to me because of how perfectly well executed this film was.

And that time traveling car is just so damn cool.

This and Ghostbusters came from god.

Michael J. Fox was the first choice to play marty mcfly, but they couldnt get him bc of family ties. during this time, they cast a person to play biff tannen.

because mike j. fox was unavailable, BTTF was originally shot with Eric stoltz as Marty McFly. Stoltz is much taller than michael j. fox and was much taller than the actor cast to play tannen. so they recast the role, with thomas wilson.

Viewing the dailies, the filmmakes thought stoltz didnt work and brought in Michael J. Fox. after pleading with the prudcers of family ties. Therefore, BTTF was shot exclusively at night, and on weekends.

on a related note, chris llod was not the first choice to play doc brown. John Lithgow was. but he turned it down.

fun facts to know and share.

Robert Zemeckis was in league with the lizard people!

BTTF ROCKS!!! I love the entire series and how wonderfully they fit together! I wish M J Fox was up to doing it again. Did anyone else get really sad when the Delorean was destoryed. :( Only the loss of the original Enterprise was more painful to me!

Can somebody give me a link, where can I download "The Power of Love" song from 1st film????

BTTF is one of those instant classics that never gets old.
