Sequels Bad Guys in SM4

now with all the talk of there being a spider-man 4... who do you think should be the main villian? i think it'd be a natural progession to include the lizard, but i dont think he should be the main one. i think Venoms story should continue onto 4...thoughts?

As they have been approved and then discarded for previous installments, the Lizard and the Black Cat are the only clear candidates at this stage.

I don't know about Black Cat, but Lizard makes perfect sense since Curt Conners was in Spidey 2 and will be in Spidey 3.

The Lizard is a given, I think. I would take a guess and say either Electro or Mysterio. Then Black Cat, to bring in a female heroine that we have not seen yet.

It seems in the movies, they are choosing more realistic type villians. Villians costume-less. Except for the Green Goblin of course.

I can't see Mysterio making an appearence because he has no physical threat towards Spidey, he doesn't allow for big fight scenes.

Electro, on the other hand, is perfect for spectacular CGI action.

Conners was not in the first film. Peter mentioned Conners, but we never actually saw him. Eddie Brock was also mentioned in the first film, but not seen.

Well, just like Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man 4 could have several villains. We can have the big name Electro, small fry Chameleon and some secret Mastermind.

Well Sony signed a contract that they can't take any villains form the games, so we won't get any of those characters. The door's still open for Lizard though.

All these villians came from the comics, not some videogame. Besides, nothing is set in stone.

I believe the arrangement was more that the video games cannot use supervillains intended to be in the movies. In makes sense for both parties, as if the game for the first movie featured Dr Octopus, having him as the villain in the Spider-Man 2 game would be nothing special.

But he can create illusions... so the options are wide open to get a beautiful action scene

Ok, so... The Lizard, Electro, Kraven, Scorpion, Rhino, Vulture, Carnage, Mysterio, Chameleon...

-Lizard seems like the obvious choice, so I think it could be on it.
-I don't want to see Kraven.
-I would like to see what they do with Electro and that horrible thunder-mask
-The tail of the Scorpion could become too similar to the Doc Ock's tentacles.
-Rhino is not that believable villain as the rest, BUT on the other hand, it could be great for action scenes.
-Vulture... the old man flying with a green fur suit? No way
-Carnage... another possible choice. But to get it fit with Spidey 3, Cletus Kassady should appear/be named somehow in Spidey 3.
-Mysterio... I already said so.
-Chameleon.. it could get kinda M:I II with the fake identities. It has been used

I say: Lizard main villain, Rhino appearance (like New Goblin), and Electro (if they do it correctly)

I'd love to see Tombstone. Of course he wouldn't be the main bad guy of a movie, but he's a refreshing change to the elaborate sci-fi menaces Spidey has fought so far. Just a big, vicious, creepy-looking thug.

I would like to see Chameleon to be honest. He would be a different villain for the franchise. I remember that there was an episode of the FOX cartoon series where Chameleon frames Peter Parker. Then, Parker is arrested and almost went to jail. That would make an interesting storyline.
