Bad sign: No mention of Punisher 2 at Comic Con

Did anyone else find this a little strange and even a little disconcerting?

Seems to me they should've confirmed Stevenson as the new Punisher and had him appear with Lexi Alexander to talk about the film. Maybe even put to rest whether or not this will be a vague "Superman Returns" type of sequel or an outright reboot.

I'm actually all for Stevenson and a new take that is closer to the MAX version of Frank, but I'm not enthused by the lack of any mention of progress at the biggest genre event of the year.

Not worrying. We already knew they wouldn't be at comicon. Wolverine had absolutely no presence at comicon either and we know that's coming out, and The Dark Knight also wasn't "technically" at comicon, but nor worries on that front.

I can't believe all those people at Comic Con and no one asked anybody at Lionsgate or Marvel about Punisher 2? Somebody has to know something, we're in the dark now that Tom Jane is not involved (he was the only one who ever talked about the sequel)..

yeah I was expecting something as well - I guess everything was just a rumor - so that means the clock is ticking in terms of the rights reverting...
