Baldur's Gate Countdown

I posted about the weird activity on the Baldur's Gate site a while back in the lounge, but no one paid attention.

Anyway, there's now a countdown timer.

Wasn't there a rumor of the first two games going to Steam?

Edit: I can't imagine they would though. EA wants all their games on Origin for obvious reasons.

Edit 2: Of course the Baldur's Gate games are already on GOG. Hmm...

I'm pretty sure that Bioware/EA doesn't own the Baldur's Gate IP. I know Atari owns the publishing rights to D&D, and I thiiiiiiiink they own Baldur's Gate too, which is why the games are on GoG (CD Projekt has a great relationship with Atari).

Also, people found Baldur's Gate in the Steam Registry awhile back.

That said, this looks like its something new. While a new game would be cool, I bet its an HD remake or something.

I know I'm old, but I LOVE this game! I was thinking about playing thru this again using some mods like Tutu, and I stumbled on this new info! t:

I am so pumped! I might even be tempted to get an iPad now. I hope they will incorporate some of the mods that people have made through the years, particularly using the BG2 engine on the original BG, so you can start with kits right at the start.

Can't wait to get my gnome kensai going again!!! t:t:t:

Oh, I know. I was planning on getting it on PC. But, now I'm curious about the iPad (which I already was).
