I've never seen this footage from the People's choice awards before, when The Dark Knight won, but I just saw it on YouTube now, and I really loved Bale's final line "Here's to Heath" and holding up the award trophy. In fact the whole thing is great.

wow, ive never seen that either. Thats really nice of him to say that. Heath Ledger was an astounding actor, even aside from The Dark Knight. he is a legend

That was really neat to see Bale say so little and start/finish with that one line. Doesn't matter that it's been over 2 years now I still love that movie with such a passion!

what Bale did is exemplary, but it is a real shame no one remembers about him, someone should say something every year to remember him in the academy awards, and in every award ceremony, I mean, that hospital scene had no room for mistakes, and Heath did it perfectly synchronized with the explosions. He deserves to be mentioned !

I've came across a blog titled 'Heath, let's see the fireworks in the sea'. The joker is definitely my favorite character in the movie.

Some homage here and there is fine since he was a good actor but the world of cinema didn't change with Heath Ledger so he should be mentioned in every film ceremony forever and ever.

Never saw that, thanks for posting....makes me adore Bale more (as odd as he can be/or seems to be at times, but I still adore him)...

Does anyone know; was the film itself ever dedicated to Heath? A lot of times when an actor dies before a film comes out like that, it ends up being dedicated to them. Usually somewhere in the end credits.

Watch the credits and at the 2h:26m:45s of the movie there's a "In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wicklife". Conway was a stunt coordinator or technician who was accidentally killed during work for the film.

Yeah they were mentioned in the credits, but the movie wasn't dedicated to them.
