Ok, before you write this of as another pointless thread lets look at this for a sec. Christian Bales career in my opinion has been building to Batman. Just look at the signs in some of his movies.
Little Women- Played a young, well to do gentlemen.
Reign Of Fire- Battled enormous bat like dragons.
Equilibrium- Played a man who becomes the instrument of revolution. And ultimately a force of good.
American Psycho- Played Patrick Bateman. Remove the e from Bateman and you get Batman. Plus consider that as depicted at his best Batman has always been a little unstable. Not to the point of being a serial killer but still unstable. I.E. Dark Knight Returns and Dark Knight Strikes Again.
