First we have The Eagles with their song "Hotel California" one rather obnoxious preacher claimed that it was the name of a Church of Satan and their name has forever been smeared.
Then we have KISS, their name supposedly ment "Knights In Satan's Service".
Let's not forget AC/DC either, according to my mom and many other's their name means "Anti-Christ Devil Children".
I've also heard the load of crap about Meatloaf having "alter calls to satan" inside of their concerts.
Please feel free to add to my list of innocent bands that have had their names ruined.

At one point, plenty, but in the long run, they've all still been wildly succesful. Look at the bands you named. All are, to this day, extremely popular live acts. KISS have, through expert use of merchandising, become one of the most well-marketed bands of all time, while each of the others is responsible for one of the best-selling albums of all time*.

Yes, supposedly if you play Stairway to Heaven backwards, essentially what you'll hear is a prayer to satan. All I heard was Stairway being played backwards.

Styx also got caught in the "satanic music" thing, their name being taken from the river of the dead in greek mythology.

With Sabbath, only one song could be considered "satanic" (N.I.B.), and then you have the song "After Forever" which encourages one to believe in the christian god-claim even if others think you're silly.

And Ozzy's solo career got pegged as being "satanic"
