Bank teller fired for chasing robber

Good for him, sounds like he should be in a different line of work anyways. One that probably pays better too.

It sounds stupid, but most companies have very strict policies on how to deal with Armed Robberies, especially banks. It's not the wild west out there, Hero Bank teller screws up and someone get's shot, the bank gets sued, and their insurance policy is void.

This rule killed me about retail stores. It's 10x worse if you work in a mall. You have to literally watch the person steal the **** and the most you can do is shout at them. I'll clock out and chase you down :o

i watched two kids run out of a store at the mall a few weeks ago. they were heading in my direction. i was gonna trip the kid for laughs but the clutz tripped under his own feet and his friend left him there.:hehe:

Why? ****, they can take all they want. It's not my job to be some store's security guard getting paid barely above the minimum wage. I got enough problems.

Because "known losses" make your store's sales look bad compared to the others. Besides, I can't just watch somebody steal crap.

The store is going to survive being jacked a pair of Ed Hardy jeans. I can't watch somebody steal my crap, they can steal whatever else they want as long as it's not mine. And don't give me that "losses from stealing affect you" argument. I learned long ago that was ********.

Well in my case, it wouldn't have been jeans, but protein. :o

Is it BS? My higher-ups were always preaching that junk to us.

i hope you told your kindly old uncle you loved him today

People shouldn't try and play hero. Leave that stuff for trained people like cops. I would've fired the teller too. Insurance companies have strict rules like... "Give them the money and shut the hell up."

I knew a guy who got shot at a gas station over the thirty seven dollars left in the register. Seriously. He took a bullet to protect a lousy thirty seven bucks.

This guy is lucky he wasn't shot. If you can outwit a robber , that's the best thing. Chasing them down seems like a good idea but you have no idea where that road could lead to .

People today are sissies, I applaud this guy for what he did.

I don't wanna here 'wah, wah, omg, wah, he broke the insurance rule.' BS to me.

If he got shot and died, you would be calling him an idiot.

Do you know my mind? Can You read it? No, you can't. I would say he should have done Matrix moves to avoid the bullets. :yay: I can do matrix like moves when I played dodgeball in PE back in high school. NO LIE.
