Transformers Barricade? here's why...

why wasnt Barricades death shown? Because hes a badass!!
in the adaptation, Prime Kills the mustang after decapping Boncrusher..
but that scene was taken out of the movie.. obviously because the filmmakers thought Barricade was a badass, which he definitely is.
They want him for the sequel, nuff said.

of course they could have filmed an extra scene showing him do a U-turn and peel out.. but hey, money is tight!

Like others have said, i think they originally killed him but realised, (maybe due to early screenings) that the character was well liked, and decided at the last minute not to kill him off.

interesting, you actually never see Barricade get "defeated" in the movie, you see him after his fight with Bumblebee on the ground beat up but you dont see him get knocked out. and as you pointed out you dont see him get defeated in the end. Barricade was awesome though, he looked fantastic.

He is my favorite in the movie, with Starscream being a close second. Barricade was just to bad ass looking and bad ass to boot. I'm really interested in seeing what they will do in the OBVIOUS extended edition HD-DVD/Blu-Ray.

Well, that is going to cause issues.... he kills him off in the movie adaptation but not in the movie itself? I think that the reason we we did not see him killed onscreen is because he DID kill him off in the adaptation .... I dont think he will be back for a sequel.

It was stated that he is blocked or run off of the road in the film, which I noticed the second time I saw it, so this doesn't bug me so much.

Holy smokes. The Q/A with the writers, someone suggests that Barricade is some sort of double agent... which is why he just disappears. Anyone consider that he's a "rogue" acting alone? Can anyone say Stunticon! Stunticons never really considered themselves Decepticons. That would explain why he skipped out on the final battle.

Barricade had to drive alot of miles to get to the Final Battle. Remember , Optimus was already driving towards it ... and it took him quiet some time to finally get there ( hence the reason he was arriving later than all the other Autobots ). My guess is that Barricade was just too late If thats not the case then a severe traffic jam LOL!

Maybe Barricade is actually Prowl in disguise. Maybe he was on Earth spying on the Decepticons and when BB found Sam, he decided to attack him so that Sam would believe that Bumblebee wasn't going to kill him and so Sam would help him and the other Autobots find the Allspark. After that Prime ordered him not to blow his cover so he didn't fight in the final battle. In the sequel this is revealed causing a big fight between Sam and the autobots. Though this is just wishful thinking. He's probably just evil and they're just saving him for the sequel.

I hope he stays a Decepticon. I don't really dig the idea of Prowl in disguise. I'd rather have some good Cop/bad Cop action in the sequel. Prowl Vs. Barricade.
