Well I had no idea they were going to copy so much from donner's movie, right down to the whole darn land land land salesman version of lex.

I knew singer was saying it'd be a new superman III... or that's what I guessed it was, but no where in my mind did I think it would be part remake of STM.

oh well. At least we got jason.
Speaking of him, I don't know why they tried to hide he was supe's kid. Anyone slightly familiar with soap operas has seen this plot twist happen again and again and again and this time I mean come on, the age, the amount of years supes was a way. Very simple to figure out. The real plot twist for me would have been if he didn't chuck the piano and Lois was killed.
Anyway, I only watched two blogs and they weren't that exciting, just a few bits of info about wardrobe and I remember one was about the guy playing Jimmy. Nothing that got me too excited... no. But still it's true I did expect a better movie, not based on blogs, but Singer's past work.
He's proven to be better than this. At least when he's in wrath of khan mode.
The editing was an issue for me. It just seemed rather sloppy in places. Reminded me of King kong and how I wish peter jackson were more conscious of the audience not caring to spend 3 hours on a story about a big monkey.
I also thought kumar would be more than a nameless henchman guy...
I didn't have an opinion on the casting until I saw the film, so no expectations there. Eh I just expected something up to Singer's previous standards you know, not like this with rehashes of the notebook, passion, and STM.... not like this... i can't believe this is the best that could be done after all the developement hell supes went through. Yes after all that they decided to shoot superman in his eye.
Indeed.
