The Dark Knight Bat-Men

I agree although I think that they won't even be that important. They won't be running around all the time. Just in the beginning of the movie. Batman has to save the copycats and that's when they realize that they should leave this stuff to the professionals. :batty:

whats the point though, it must be deeper than that. I think its a joker think. I just can't see the angle.

ya know Mitthrawnuruodo I kinda felt similar about it when we first heard of multi-batmen but because I kinda felt lyk it was a lil useless but i grew to thinking that thats just because it`ll be such a minor part and I`m pretty sure when the movie comes out it`ll be fine. I mean they`ll play an important role to an extent but that doesnt mean we`ll see too much of them

I dont like the idea of random "bat-men" running around gotham either. It does take away from Batman's mystique.

sure, i guess its small, but there must be a point. WHY? I can't see Nolan putting them in there for 5 minutes just to show that there are copy-cats out there. It must run deeper than that.

You can go deep with something and not give it too much screentime.

Yes:
They want to show us a reaction the Gothamites have to Batman.
Some gossip, some fear, some love, some hate, some imitate. It's one of the many means to show us how Batman starts to change/affect this city.
And, particularly with the Batmen, they show us how dangerous the thing that Batman started can get.

well if thats all, them i'm still gonna be disappointed.

A pity. What use would you ideally want for them?

Keaton was ok in BR. A bit like Cloony in B&R, but wasted. I see nothing but a wasted opportunity in BR.

I disagree, but anyway. My point was that Keaton had a fine amount of screentime in B89.

oh yeah, people say the great Mr Nicholson stole the show with all his screen time, but if you watch the moive, its devided pretty evenly between the two. What i like abou keatons performance though is the sublties.

Yes, I don't think that their screen-time was uneven (not too much, anyway).
And I don't believe Jack upstaged Keaton (for different reasons than you may think, though).

i agree. Itsd in the nature of the character for the joker to upstage batman. Jack did right. In any other movie, it would have been wrong. But for Batman, for the joker, Jack got it spot on.

That's why I said "for different reasons than you may think", I knew you'd misinterpret it.
I didn't like Jack as Joker much, but loved Keaton as Batman. So, Jack was never able to upstage Keaton, for me.

ok. your right, i never would have thought that.:woot:

I dont like the idea of random "bat-men" running around gotham either. It does take away from Batman's mystique.

I thought that they already took away the mystique when they explained Bruce's motives and philosophy and when they showed how he learned ninja skills and how he acquired his vehicle, weapons, suit etc.

But they still managed to maintain the mystique when they presented Batman from other people's point of view. Criminals, Rachel, Gordon, citizens of Gotham etc.

In some way I feel that the fake Batmen only add to Batman's legendary status making him even more mystic. I mean if we are going to see some not-so-agile copycats running around in broad daylight wearing amateurish suits and at the same time the real deal waits in the shadows like an invisible predator who knows exactly what to do next and how to anticipate his opponents every move....that contrast makes him even more legendary IMO. The way they separate Batman from the wannabes.

No, I think that his mystique's gone in BB. And I have no problem with that.

i have to agree. When he was cought on the news. that kinda ended it right there. No point in him wearing a batsuit now. I mean, everyone knows he's not a bat anymore.:whatever:

And that's the way, aha aha, I like it.
