Barbara says that she was 18 when her career starts as Batgirl i quote:Are you kidding ? of course i miss it some days i'd give anything i the world to be 18 again.
So that means she was also 18 in Batgirl year one.Wright????????????????

That wouldn't mean she was 18 when she started out. When she says she would give anything in the world to be 18 again, I'm sure that was just one of the years during her career (and from the sound of it, one of her favorite years); I doubt it was her first. But, I'm not expert on Barbara but I don't see how you can misread that line so much.

I thought Babs became Batgirl after her Dad told her he didn't want her to join the police force? Wouldn't she have to have been at least 18 to join the police force? I think she was 18 when she finally donned the cape and cowl. I'm going off of Batgirl: Year One, by the way.
