I'm so, so happy they at least mentioned Cassandra in this. Probably the best treatment she's received in a while. This entire Batgirl series has been berry berry good.

Waht?! since when? where is the info on this?

It means that now Cass didn't give up being Batgirl and go become a hobo somewhere because Bruce died and she lost her inspiration or whatever. Bruce told her to do it, and specifically told her to give the costume to Steph, because it was a test that Steph needed. It also means that now the entire universe didn't just forget Cass existed after she left; Tim had kept in contact with her all this time.

It's obviously a retcon Miller made to his own first issue after having heard all the complaints it got...which is fantastic. Again, compared to "Deathstroke serum" and "overcame psychological illiteracy by reading harder," it's easily the best retcon for OOC behavior that Cassandra has received.

Eh. I'm kind of over retcons in general, I guess. I just want them to either use Cass well again or shelf her indefinitely at this point.

You had to remind us of those :argh:

Oh, and also this issue taught me that Amazo is supposed to be pronounced "Amaze-oh." That...huh, actually makes far more sense than how I've always been saying it in my head, "[Amazon] minus [n]."

Grey guy? They never mentioned his name as "Amazo" out load, did they?

edit: "loud," even.

Grey, then gold later on... But yeah, I'm pretty sure they called him Amazo at least once or twice.

I just checked Wiki, and although they did call him The Android, and Ivo's Android, eventually they referred to him as Amazo.

I've always pronounced it "Amaze-oh." It never even occurred to me there could be another pronunciation.

Yeah that's way I did it. I mean, that's just the way it looks, right?

I hope Cass becomes Batgirl again and has adventures with Steph

I would :hrt: that

I've never read a comic with Cassandra Cain in it but I thought I heard she was mute?

Cass is back!! :awesome: :hrt:

As much as I'd love to see her as Batgirl again, a part of me wishes she becomes the Nightwing or something.........or takes up a new persona...........

I appreciate the effort to address Cass but it doesnt make sense. Why would Bruce want Cass to leave and Steph to be tested at the worst time for the family (his death)? Knowing Bruce, he would have wanted to be present and evaluate her himself.
It also means that now the entire universe didn't just forget Cass existed after she left; Tim had kept in contact with her all this time.
Tim didnt, but Steph who is supposedly her greatest friend did. I assume that they wanted to start fresh for all the girls to jump on the book without getting comfused by continuity but it really paints Steph as a bad person doesnt it?

No idea what you mean. Sure, of course in the best case scenario Bruce would like all the time in the world to evaluate Steph the way he wants to, but this particular contingency is only for when he dies. He's not gonna be able to be "present and evaluate her himself" if he's dead. Him telling Cass to let Steph to become Batgirl was, in his estimation, the next best case scenario.

Which is pretty in-character for Bruce, frankly; he's always setting up elaborate mind game tests for people, particularly his sidekicks. Steph becoming Robin that time was more a test for Tim than it was ever about her.

And Steph is not nearly as close to Bruce as the others, him dying wouldn't be the "worst time" for her by a long shot.

No i meant that if Bruce died it would be a horrible time for the family in general, and worst case scenario, whoever killed him is still around and i can imagine that the person who killed the goddamn batman being a big threat.

So it wouldnt be a time for tests or telling your hax ninja to leave (i mean why leave anyway?), it would be a time to regroup and reorganize. Steph's tests can wait.

But in reality i think they wanted to shake things up, and bring Steph in, and only later did they occur to them to justify the move and answer wth happened to Cass.
