Utter crap! I couldn't even get through the whole issue. Someone should smack DC and Grant Morrison upside the head for bringing the god awful tripe back from the past.

what was wrong with it? its a damn funny issue for what seems will be a damn fun arc. this is some straight up denny o'neil batman, and you cant go wrong with that!

What exactly is wrong with [BLACKOUT]a dude wearing another guy's cut off face over his own[/BLACKOUT]?

That more than makes up for whatever ridiculous argument someone might whine up about the rest of the issue. So do butcher knives.

Every Batman issue has to have a thread now? But from the sound of things, I'll stick with Detective...

Don't take it personally Donk, but you obviously have no taste. Batman 667 was a great issue. Go pick up Wolverine Origins. You'll love it.

How am I not supposed take that personally? It's a matter of differeing tastes, not lack of.

I don't care for Wolverine, but thanks anyway.

Basically it's a rehash of the old Silver Age story line of the Batman Family. As for the summery, Bats and Robin go to what I think are the British Isles for a conference of sorts. There, they start meeting all these other super heroes from other countries. That's as far as I could get in the cheesiness.

British Isles. Yeah. Wow. Bravo. I mean, seriously.

Page four (in Spoiler tag for complete safety): Robin says,
"...my choices? A weekend nursing my shoulder and dodging Alfred while he single-handedly rebuilds Wayne Manor from the inside out with power drills and The Beatles' Greatest Hits... or a trip to a private island in the Caribbean to hang out with a bunch of weird C-list crimefighters..."

Now, and I think I can put this out of a spoiler tag, I may not be of Jeopardy-quality in my geography knowledge, but I'm pretty sure that the British Isles are not in the Caribbean.

Boy, apparently you hated it so much your reading comprehension and recall skills tanked as a result. Wait, did you even read the issue past page three?

I read up untill Robin was introduced to the Squire

Which is page nine of twenty-two. That's not even halfway.

Yeah, you're real qualified to talk about what was in this issue. :whatever:

Read my post.

I said I couldn't get through it. Go flame somewhere else

You "couldn't get through" introductory stuff.

Introductory being, decidedly, not the meat of the issue or unfolding of the story for the rest of the arc.

There's a real lack of sense in saying something sucks when, you know, you couldn't be bothered to actually read it. It's really hard to justify calling the entire issue "crap," as you called it, when you didn't actually read it.

As I said, I read up till the part where Robin meets the Squire. As you pointed out, thats page 9 of 22. I didn't like the story, so I stopped. I deemed it crap because that what it was to me: crap. If I'm not digging a story after reading 40% of the book, why bother to finish it?

I'm glad you liked it, I really am

I didnt even buy it...the Club Of Superheroes is one of the ideas that should have been left in the silver age, just like the whole Jimmy Olsen gets wacky powers that we all know he wont keep thing they're doing in Countdown...
