It's like having to stay over with one of two nasty aunties you don't like as a child...

BUT -

Which one of these movies would you want to watch again on a regular basis if forced too???

what would draw you to your particular choice... the script, costumes, music, performances, cinematography and so on...

Batman & Robin has amazing cinematography. If there is one element of that movie that is genuinely great, it is that. Catwoman does not have any redeeming features.

Kevin expressed my sentiments exactly. I don't much care for B&R as a whole, but, in addition to the bold sets and spectacle, I can appreciate its silliness to a degree and laugh at it. There's nothing remotely entertaining about Catwoman that can't be duplicated by simply looking a picture of Halle Berry in costume. That movie is trash all the way.

Batman & Robin cos Michael Gough & clooney were only two actors I liked Clooney barely make it.

CINO - Never seen it and I don't want plan to

B&R, no contest. Though very campy, its good in its own little way.
Plus Uma and Alicia were hot(well so was halle...). And i just love Alicia(evne though she really didnt try in the movie, which was very noticable)
And i can actually watch this without cringing or anything. I just think of it as a re-imagined 60's Batman

Catwoman. It is one of my "favorite" movies. Like those really **** scary movies from the 60's that they play at midnight on those horror host shows? I like it like that. Not like a "this was a cinematic achievement" kind of way.

Both suck, but I'd take Batman & Robin over that putrid garbage "Catwoman" ino anyday.

Batman and Robin. Better movie than Catwoman, and makes me laugh. Besides... its Batman!

Batman & Robin by a mile. Why?

1.) It's pretty to look at. 11 years later, I still think most of the effects look nice. I really dig the freeze effects. It's colorful and vibrant. Catwoman is bland and any time CGI Catwoman appears, it's painfully obvious. Like a PS2 cutscene.

2.) It's funny. Catwoman is awful. Awful, awful, awful. In every possible way. I thought it could be fun in the same way B&R is, but it's not. There's not an ounce of joy to be found in the whole affair.

3.)Nothing, NOTHING in B&R rivals the awfulness of the Catwoman suit. Not even Bane, not even nipples. Hell, Batman's nipples could be lactating and they still wouldn't match the absolute terror and apocalyptic madness that is the Catwoman suit. Every single person involved in the development, production, and approval of that epic monstrosity should be studied and put on display at local carnivals.

I quite enjoy Batman & Robin in a very fun way. On the other hand, Catwoman was devoid of any fun or seriousness.

"Batman & Robin" is the lesser of two evils.

It's still an incarnation of 'Batman/Bruce Wayne.' 'Catwoman' has nothing to with the Selina Kyle character and by extension of that fact, is NOT 'Catwoman'.

CFE

I'll say Batman and Robin because at least it gave me Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and it's fun to laugh at.

Catwoman isn't good for a damn thing.

What--better yet, why did "Catwoman INO" happen?
An attempt (and a pretty pathetic one at that) to cash in on the successful superhero movie craze Marvel and other studios enjoyed with the success of 2000's X-Men, and especially 2002's Spider-Man. Unfortunately for WB, this particular attempt didnt pan out the way it was hoped it would.

But WB got exactly what they deserved with this.

B&R, BTW.

It wasn't quite that simple. CATWOMAN had been in development since 1993, when Michelle Pfeiffer was set to star in a BATMAN RETURNS spinoff. The project evolved through several scripts (all of them abysmal) and actresses. By the time Halle Berry became attached, WB had put a rumored $9 million into just developing the movie. It was more an attempt to cash in on Halle Berry than anything else.

BATMAN & ROBIN hands down. CATWOMAN is just painful.

I knew i could get you guys to praise 'Batman and Robin' in some way :woot:

I was very aware of the Catwoman project being in developmental hell for a number of years, and having such stars as Michelle Pfeiffer, and Ashley Judd attached at different stages as well. However, ultimately by the time Catwoman was finally given the greenlight, there's no doubt that Marvel's success with bringing different characters from the Marvel Universe to the big screen and turning a profit, and in some cases a substantial profit, for a number of studios was likely making WB a bit envious. Which is certainly understandable.

With Halle, obviously she was viewed as a bankable star that could possibly get people interested the film that otherwise might not have been previously, and no doubt her X-Men association was likely seen, in large part, as more of a positive, than a negative by WB brass. Then throw in the fact that comic based superhero films were quickly becoming more and more popular and bankable with the general public, and you get the idea of why this flick was given the greenlight after a number of years in developmental hell.

But again, the sheer mediocrity of the project itself under WB's wing by the time the project was finally in production is what led to it's much deserved negative reception and downfall.

Can I listen to the Rifftrax while watching them? Cause then, I dont care, I'll take either :)

I still haven't had the gull to sit through Catwoman and I'm a sucker for b and c list movies but I watched like 3 minutes and I just couldn't. Perhaps it's the Batman fan in me. So B&R gets this by default cause it's the only one I could watch in it's entirety.

My friend actually brought up Pitof over lunch the other day talking about "what if he did Transformers?" I was like "It would've been a camera focused on a toaster and an electric can opener for two hours than out of nowhere an electric shaver will be placed next to them on the counter and the human character will name it 'decipticon'." Still I probably would've found it much more entertaining than that piece of garbage Michael Bay did that made me even question why the hell I liked Transformers as a kid in the first place. But I digress.

I think Batman & Robin was so bad that it was good. Have some friends come over put beer in the fridge and B&R in the dvd player and just rip it. Very entertaining.
Never saw Catwoman and have no desire too either.

Catwoman isn't good for a damn thing.

That's very true.

Batman is too big a commodity for WB to let wither and die. B&R's failure motivated them to try something new and different to reinvigorate the character.

Catwoman, however, is seen as (at least) a secondary property. And thus, that movie was probably (at least for the next 20 years or so) its one and only shot.

The character's only hope in the forseeable future is if Nolan chooses to include her in a future film. This series has the prestige, the respect, and is far enough removed from anything similar to Pitof's fecal explosion that it could properly wipe the bad taste out of people's mouths. I think the general public really likes the Catwoman character, and recognizes that Halle Berry's character was not the real deal. I only hope WB has the faith to acknowledge this.

The question was "what if PITOF did Transformers?", not "what if some trendy film school student did transformers?"

If Pitof did Transformers, it would star Kirstanna Lokken as an office temp named Candice who gets walked all over by her male boss, who is secretly trying to take over the world with an advanced robot named D-CEPTOR. She would get electrocuted while in her car and turn into Optimo, the female electric avenger, and wear a costume that had wings on the side of the head, and whichs body consited of a slingshot style bikini that was in the shape of lighting bolts.

Im sorry this thread is pointless and yes...******ED!

Someone obviously likes Catwoman and B&R...

Also, news flash, we're posting on an internet message board. Of course it's pointless. EVERYTHING on here is pointless.
