Batman and the Occult

I’m curious how you guys feel about how Snyder and Morrison have handled the Occult throughout their Batman work?

Morrison was just bizarre in his approach. Dr. Hurt came off like a cringey 1970’s satanic B-movie villain. Snyder was a bit better in that he seemed to focus more on the cult of personality aspects with characters like Deacon Blackfire, while acknowledging the supernatural aspects. But it’s still not my cup of tea.

I’d rather not have Batman squaring off against occult figures.
