Batman: Arkham Asylum

I thought so just wanted to make sure because I would be so pissed if I did all that work only to have it just overwritten.

Anyone watch the video of Kevin Conroy talking about Batman? It also shows Mark Hammil in the sound bouth voicing Joker which was really cool to see.

I also thought it was cool that on the PS3 the videos are available under the Video section of the XMB for easy access instead of only in the game.

Man. Scarecrow was done brillantly.

So let's get all the Cameos in order, off the top of my head:

Mr. Freeze's cell
Calendar Man's cell
Scarface's tommy gun(On Display)
Alice in Wonderland tea set
Clayface
Two Face's cell
Penguin's umbrellas(On Display)
Catwoman's mask/claws(On Display)
Zsasz' body art with guards
Bane's teddy bear
Ratcatcher's gear

hmmm

Tweedledee and Tweedledum hats on the see-saw
Humpty Dumpty broken toys
Scarecrow's Fear Gas tanks
Thomas Elliot on the surgery board
Prometheus wanted poster
Firefly newspaper ads
Skeleton in a coccoon (Killer Moth)
Harley Quinn's comic mask

I forgot about the videos. I gotta watch them sometime.

One guy who works at Rocksteady was talking in one of the videos and he mentioned he went on all the videogame forums to read about what people were saying and admitted that he was specifically told not to. Pretty funny stuff.

Another lol moment in the same video it showed a bunch of game developers that were working with xbox360 Elites and all the xbox's were censored! lol. It's like Sony realized at the last second that the video showed xbox's and not PS3s and were like "Oh ****, black em out asap!!" haha

I wonder how Killer Moth died. That kinda bugged me (no pun intended...No, **** that. Pun totally intended!).

No. Killer Moth died at the hands of his arch nemesis.

Mothmonsterman.

So I rented the game first to see if it's worth buying.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it, and I am overwhelmed by all of the secret/unlockable material. The character bios, the Riddler challenges, the audio tapes, etc. It's so immense. This game demands repetitive play.

And it is the best Batman videogame to date.

Is he dead in the books?? I figured the skeleton in the cocoon was someone he put up there on his way out

Could someone tell me where to find those so I know where to look during my next playthrough.

Also, I heard you could find Ra's al Ghul's body/cell in the game. Where is that?

Ras is easy to find. Lets just say he sticks out and it becomes obvious.

Just look all over for those it's fun and rewarding. Not all that difficult to find.

Two playthroughs and I still haven't stumbled on Ras.

I guess I'm just blind, I even know where he is! I just don't bother looking.

Forgot about that one. Ra's is near Dr. Young's office. There's an open cabinet with cadaver sticking out. Ra's Al Ghul is on the toe tag.

Here are the ones I remember. I believe I remembered them correctly.

Mr. Freeze's cell- In the area where Harley is defeated. It's on the right when you enter. You can't miss it.
Scarface's tommy gun(On Display)- In the area where Harley turns on the floor zappers. Go up to where you fight the thugs, there's a platform you can walk across to like a guardroom. The gun is on the wall.
Alice in Wonderland tea set- Botanical Gardens, 2nd level under the door across from the entrance
Clayface- In a cell where you find the Warden.
Catwoman's mask/claws(On Display)- Arkham Mansion, the hallway before you enter the Warden's Office
Zsasz' body art with guards- There are two I believe. One is in the Botanical Gardens on the left shortly after you enter. Another is up in a guard room by the penitentiary
Bane's teddy bear- It's in a room you enter before you stop Harley from killing Gordon and fight Bane.
Ratcatcher's gear- I forget what building but it's below a grate in a duct. I think it's in the Botanical Gardens but am not sure.

I've read that Ra's bodybag is actually empty if you go back there later in the game

seriously...a good chunk of you are sorry excuses for gamers....I can't find this, I can't find that....look around gods dammmit...you even have a game mechanic (Detective Vision) that was built for this express purpose...I can only imagine what some of you would have done back before the internet and you couldn't just run online for help

I agree. This game simply isn't as difficult as some people are making it out to be. I didn't have to use the internet for help even once during it, even for the riddles. The detective mode and Riddler maps practically tell you everything you need to do. Personally, I just get more satisfaction out of a game when I do everything on my own as opposed to asking for help or reading a walkthrough.

The only thing I asked for in this forum was how to handle thugs with shock batons. I found four ways to dispatch them. Now that I'm playing on hard, I have to use my gadgets more and speed is even more key to any engagement. Instead of having drawn out dance-like combat, I now tend to be more quick and unfair in my combat. I have to or I'll die. One tip about playing on hard, don't get hemmed in by thugs, they will pummel you good.

I'm the same way. The riddler maps give you the location but not the exact pinpoint spot were you don't know if it's below or above you which makes it fun. I've spent atleast 2+ hours more than I should have roaming around trying to find everything on my own which is really rewarding when I figure it out.

The only thing with Detective mode is you can't see vents without their covers. I was looking for one in detective mode but I couldn't find it because it had no cover.

Some of those cameos are hard to find. Like the Ratcatcher and Killer Moth ones. Others are really easy to miss like Firefly, Hush and Prometheus.

Hard's not really that much harder than the other difficulties to me. If you get surrounded by thugs, just spam the hell out of the counter button. It may ruin your combo count, but it's not like they're not going to try and attack you eventually.

As for the use of guides and the internet and such, I don't see how that translates into being a "crappy gamer." If people are spending hours searching for crap rather than enjoying the game, by all means, use a guide. The game's supposed to be fun, not a brain teaser. I've never actually understood the *********orial glee some people get out of bragging about how they could beat the hardest game ever on super-duper-hard mode without cheats or whatever. Big deal. If that's fun for you, great; it sure as hell ain't for me, and I'm not gonna burden myself with some weird need to proclaim myself master of all the game's difficulty modes when I could just play it on an easier level and actually enjoy it.
