I thought that was mind-bogglingly stupid, personally.

My favorite combat moves are the special takedowns. They're so brutal and satisfying, especially the ones where he breaks people's ankles. Batman doesn't kill, but that don't mean he won't f*** you up. :D
 
Yeah, Batman can dream about how awesome it was while his hand is healing for the next six weeks. Meanwhile, the Joker just wakes up the next day with a sore jaw.
 
I thought my 2 yr old PS3 went dead during the final Scarecrow sequence.

And the exploding fist should have been used for the game lol. It would have been fun to just punch the weak walls instead of shooting the batgrapple and pulling it down.
 
The next game also needs explosive Batarangs. I was missing those.
 
Yeah, I hated how the batarangs could, at most, knock someone down but not out. The lack of ranged takedown methods was irritating to say the least when you're trying to clear a room.

Wasn't there supposed to be some kind of big mythos changing event in this game? Or was that just rumored before it came out.
 
I don't remember hearing about that. How would it change the mythos, anyway? It's a video game, not a comic book. The mythos is created and maintained by the comics.

I appreciated them when I'd have goons try and break into the gun lockers and more times than not when I threw the batarang it'd hit them stopping them long enough for me to get in close and bring them down.
 
The batarangs were totally useless to me. Could you possibly hit those gunners? Sure, maybe. But 9 times out of 10, some a**hole is gonna get in the way and you'll wind up hitting him and clearing a nice, clean path for the gunner to take his shots instead. Or you'll hit the guys directly in front of you, even though you think you're targeting toward a different direction, and then you lose your combo because there's no one in range to attack anymore.
 
Only time the batarangs really saved my ass was with the snipers.
 
I thought riding the huge mutants and swiping at the thugs and other mutant was hilarious. The trophy for that was called something funny too with "bull rider" or something.

No, they didnt need anything like that. That would have made it too easy. If you could just sit somewhere and throw batarangs at everyone to clear a room out would be waayy too easy, unless they did it like the sonic batarang. Using it once disables it for another use.
 
A one-time use explosive batarang would be fine. Just something that allows ranged takedowns to even be an option. Closest you can get to that in AA is using the batclaw to pull someone over a ledge so the fall knocks them out, but 1) you can't use the batclaw sitting on gargoyles, which are of course the best vantage point for setting that kind of thing up, and 2) half the time they don't even fall off the ledge if, by some miracle, you've managed to line everything up correctly.

Well you can use the Sonic Batarang to disable an enemy, so thats something thats ranged. I never have a problem taking thugs out with the batclaw tho. If i shoot a line at a thug on a walk way, hes going over. The balance of the game was really well done. Too many more gadgets could have made it too easy.
 
Any move in which Batman breaks someone's limb...is my favorite.

I'm a fan of Batman kicking a guy down, and then snapping his leg broken. Brings DKR to mind.

Okay, does anyone have the PS3 version here? Because the Joker maps...are quite a bit tougher.

I still can't beat Sewer Rat Extreme :cmad:

I think I just need to evade more on the last round... two goons always manage to open the gun cases and take me down. The first time I tried it I was kicking huge ass. My score was almost 40,000 at the start of the round, and I got a combo up to 45+... and then instead of countering I punched and messed everything up :(
 
The combat maps with Joker is probably tougher for me than the predator ones.

I just keep getting my ass handed to me. I think Joker's just a little slower to the counter move than Batman is.

That, and the cops are always using guns on me.
 
Has anyone seen the newest TV spot narrated by the Batman himself? There's a quick shot of the Joker in an orange straitjacket... I wonder why that wasn't in the game.
 
Aw, that's boring. I just went to the guy left to me and punched him in the face. Everyone was like "What the?!" and then I had the most fun moment in the entire game.

Haha ya, I wasn't sure what to do at that part, I just walked around for a bit, looking at all of them clapping and than I just decked one guy in the face.

I saw a clip on the bonus DVD of Batman ziplining all the guys hahaha, thoguht that was funny, just a perfect line up of guys to knock down with the zipline

I am stuck on the last boss :( any tips I keep getting beat by the gangs loads my life just goes down fast...too many of them..
