Trailer for the video game sequel!

Looks great. I'm watching it a few times to catch all the references to various Batman villains that were not in the original. Looks like we are going to be fighting at the Iceberg Lounge this time and there was a reference to Roman Sionis AKA Black Mask.
The link I posted also hints at Two-Face.

You'll notice the following: obviously, the Asylum's been moved into the city itself, logically because of the damages sustained in the first game. So we're going to be playing in Gotham proper, even if it's just a section of the city that's been repurposed to serve as a temporary Arkham. I'd like to point out that this is a fantastic idea.

Shortly before you see the Joker, there's a metal sign that says "Sionis," so we can expect Black Mask to be in the game. One the buildings is The Iceberg Lounge; you can see the sign shortly after the guy is thrown out of the window onto the street. The Joker is hooked up to some medical equipment, and he looks like hell (even more like Heath Ledger than he did in the last game), so he must still be recovering from the events of the first game.

Of course, the biggest hint is on the website itself; the picture of Two-Face as Uncle Sam, but you also see that poster in the trailer (however, it moves by so fast that you'd never be able to decipher what it is without first seeing the website).

great trailer. i am so excited. if it is as good as the first we are in for a real treat. can't wait to hear more details. they have the potential to build a solid set of games here. people got behind them with arkham asylum, and i'm confident they will get behind them again.

He has a very badass attitude but he looks so young it might be harder to sell it to the audiance, i mean yeah we already stepped away from realism in this video game series, tho maybe Tim Drake rather? Believe me i love Damian Wayne alot, but introducing Batman's son to the main audiance might be pushing it abit.

indeed. all three were referenced in the first game, so it'll be good to finally see them. i think we will be seeing some kind of turf war in the vein of no mans land.

I found the announcement of Arkham Asylum 2 very unexpected, I honestly really didn't expect it at all.

I didn't catch many of the references but I got that Arkham has been moved to the city due to the collateral damage of the island and that The Joker still has the injuries that he got in the first game.

Batman has a rather lousy history in video games. It's great that we're getting some really great games at last worthy of Batman's name.

Stuff I would love to do in Arkham Asylum 2.

Roaming, using the Batmobile, going to the Batcave whenever I want. I also think it would be cool to use Bruce Wayne a little.

I want this to be strictly Batman, really don't wanna see Nightwing.

Btw Saint I wanted to say, you're one of my fave posters here on SHH. Your Batman knowledge is truly great.

I haven't played first game but this I will buy Two-Face is in it. Will they show his origin?

You're asking wayyyy to early for something like that. Arkham Asylum had patiant tapes of Harley, Zsasz, Joker, Croc and Scarecrow. They might give the same treatment to the new bosses in this game. So you can read his biography and hear his patiant interviews.

I can't wait for this game now. Arkham Asylum was hands down the best Batman game ever. Hopefully this one will top that!

Didn't play the first one, wasn't interested. I'm a HUGE Batman fan, always have been. But the first one just didn't interest me. An entire Batman set in 1 prison? No thanks.

So happy they moved to Gotham for this one.

Things that would make my dream Batman game come true:

Full free-roaming in Gotham

Go to the batcave whenever you want (to change costumes, save game, load game, viw stuff, etc etc)

Lots of unlockable costumes, both from the movies and from the comics. TDK suit would be sweet.

Grapple gun any building you want. Then glide down with your cape.

Batmobile and Batwing. Maybe they could do like the animated series, have your Batwing hover in mid-air, glide down, beat up some thugs, then grapple back up and fly.

Some unlockable characters. Nightwing, robin, etc etc.

Just a few ideas.

There was a character bio for Two-Face in the first game with a picture of him. Chances are that's what he'll look like.

I absolutely loved the first game, so I can't wait to learn more about this. It's a huge surprise that's it's coming this soon though, and in the back of my mind I worry a little bit that it's being too rushed. I wouldn't want a weak sequel to such a fantastic game.
