This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]469841[/split]
It comes to no surprise to learn that eventually, the Batman series will add a new title to its long-lasting franchise. After speaking with a source connected within Warner Bros. Interactive, we learned that the developers responsible for Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are currently working on a new project. From what we've heard, the next game of the series will be called Batman: Arkham Knight.
Batman: Arkham Knight, like Arkham City will feature an open world map. However, players will be able to gain a little more freedom than what was given to them in Arkham City. In addition, the artistic style is set to resemble those of Arkham City.
As far as it goes in terms of villains and storyline, you will have to be patient since we do not possess any more details than the ones mentioned above. However, what we can say is that our source tells us that if the development goes well, we might be looking at a release scheduled for the Holiday season of 2014, on Xbox One and PS4.
More details coming soon!
oh please don't exagerateRocksteady need to be given the keys to any and all superhero franchises they're interested in doing. They're literally the first studio to ever crank out a good game from comicbook/cartoon source material. Everything else has been average at best.
Licensed games from movies are usually God awful too.
Given how great the show is and Rocksteady wanting to do something non Batman, what about a Green Arrow game?
I thought Ultimate Spiderman was also pretty damn good not to mention Hulk: Ultimate DestructionBut they're not the first. They were the first in a long time. Dp said comic/cartoon so I'm not thinking movie adaptations. The last one was probably Xmen Legends and arguably Ultimate Alliance although personally I do not like either of the Ultimate Alliances

The best, yesThe Arkham games are the best superhero games.

DittoHopefully they've played a game of f--k off with Joker and Joker went first. I don't want to see him in any capacity.
Maybe this one is the brand new villain made specifically for this game?In addition to [BLACKOUT]Hush and Jason, what about Jean-Paul[/BLACKOUT] for the Arkham Knight?
My guess is they want to do their original work, they proved themselves with a lincensed franchise, they can prove themselves with their own thingGiven how great the show is and Rocksteady wanting to do something non Batman, what about a Green Arrow game?
You mean the recent downlodable game Out of the Shadows?Wasn't someone doing a TMNT game already? I saw a demo not long ago, where the Turtles were jumping around places fighting guys, and the player was switching between which one he was controlling etc.

Some want Rocksteady expecting a far superior game developed by them, I think that TMNT game got lukewarm reception at most

I would very much agreeWhatever Rocksteady does next, it should be something they have passion in. That's what made their Batman games so good. No point in making them do a property if they stated they're not interested in it (i.e. Superman). I also think they should create their own property at some point.
That being said, I would geek out if they're big TMNT fans.![]()
I considered playing that game, but I guess my best bet is to wait for LEGO game based on them to play a Ninja Turtles game I'd really enjoyQuickly Googled, yeah, that looks like the one I saw. Too bad, I guess.
