not playing the game if true, even if it's the most enjoyable game of the year. It's about principles!

I wouldn't have a big problem with it.

I could see him not actually dying, but quitting instead. And he'd only be presumed dead, after his final battle. And the next game is going to be Batman Beyond. :awesome:

yeah. Even though I already preordered the limited edition with the statue months ago, I'm not playing this game. EVAR!

I love when this stuff happens.

He is not dying. Everyone was sure he died at the end of TDKR, and he didn't because you can't kill Batman.

It's so weird, that thing has been out there for over 6 months and even some SHH users pointed it out, but once 1 website makes a new article about it, people riot?

And it's like, people can't be expecting that much of a good story from Rocksteady, their stories aren't good, it's the atmosphere!

it's been almost year since we got that statue indeed ^^

and yeah, while I'm eagerly anticipating the game, and I'm sure it will be amazing, I don't have any hope for the story nor the characterization, since no rocksteady game worked in that regard to me (unlike Arkham Origins... that one was so well written.).

The next few months should be interesting...

Over dramatic much? Wow haha
rocksteady has said somethn to the effect of " we want the player to feel like batman. the total batman experiance." the possible spoiler is not that. without going in to detail cuz i dont know to make a spoiler tag is about the most unbatman like way. so really hope its not true. over dramatic? as a batfan i dont think so. sorry i love the character and so does most of the world. appologies on grammar, tired.

I'm a huge batfan too. But come on now. It's a game, and to say you'll lose all respect for WB and Rocksteady if the rumor of
batman dying at the end
is true then yes, very over dramatic of you I think.

One thing about this that gets me thinking is...

If Batman does die in the end, what happens with future games? Where do you go after this? Can Batman Beyond games, or a story where Bruce Wayne isn't Batman, be just as profitable?

WB Games Montreal will most likely take over full time and keep on producing prequel games and spin-offs.

Unless Monolith Productions takes over instead.

Would Warner Bros. even want to make more games outside of Arkham City? Did Arkham Origins do well in terms of sales?

It did decent enough, I think. Batman is pretty much WB/DC's golden goose, they will take whatever opportunity they have to keep churning out media and merch.

I don't remember any fanfare in terms of sales... but I suppose it sold moderately well.

I think WB should let the main Arkham brand go out with a bang with the upcoming Knight, whilst still allowing for unique spin-off opportunities for a few years.

I need a Batman Beyond game set in the same future universe as these Arkham games and I don't care which developer makes it.

I would much rather seem like a Batman Beyond game done in the Arkham style instead of a new like Arkham sequel or prequel like Origins.
Monolith accomplished with Shadow of Mordor. I think they are up for the task.

Agreed, and I think that's what we will wind up getting.

I rather they move on to something different. I would like to see a TMNT game from them.

Rocksteady is moving on, but that doesn't mean another developer can't create a Batman Beyond game set within or following the Arkham-verse.

Hard to say at this point. One assumes that WBI will try to milk the franchise for all its worth.

We've never really gotten any indication WBI wants a Batman Beyond video game or have we?

it picked up national awards like the Canadian video game awards which was put up in the gaming lounge yes ad it's still up at you tube as well. & for those still unhappy with the bug's they are making a directors cut to make up for version they put out before they do anything else.

And that's pretty much what WB Montreal was made for. To take over, but I really would have more sequels than prequels. But since Batman has a lot of history, I think that is more likely than a sequel.

well yes this is true the only people that said they were willing to do it "a Batman Beyond game" was one of the senor producers on Arkham origins From WBI on the L33t lounge twitch video interveiw site and there was a lot of fans that said they wanted it when he asked . spin off & prequels well til they say other wise.

Rocksteady should move on to Superman. We got that Lex Corp easter egg in the Arkham Knight trailer. Please Rocksteady, do Superman.
