So i finished watching a Playthrough of the game.
All in all, the game is so much better than the first Reveal trailer hinted at.
The decisions they made and stuff, strengthen my mindset that we need to let the Arkham universe where it is, and instead start a new Batman Gaming Franchise.
I like it overall and can live with it being canon in the Arkhamverse, but personally i wouldnt have some of the choices and feel a different direction with them, would have been better.
I really liked the idea of being mainly in Blackgate.
Even though i would have liked to see more Gotham, its a neat idea to have the game mainly be in Blackgate.
That gives it size and weight.
All the easter eggs and characters that show up, is very cool to see.
The overall story was a fun idea and they managed to make the Rats and the Rat King really feel like a big deal.
Many of the major characters deserved more time, Bolton, Harley, Crane, Falcone...and especially harvey.
Considering how much the final act focuses on harvey, the game does too little of a job imo to focus on Harvey and his Personality disorder.
That makes the twist a bit forced and takes away from the overall plot.
Making Harvey the Rat King because of his personality disorder doesnt really work since we barely see Harvey deal with it.
I also dont like that they kinda make Bruce the one who turned Harvey into Two Face with the way it was handled how the Acid accident happened.
That didnt felt too good.
I also didnt like how the game ended the Joe Chill thing.
You could see it from far away that the Joe character you befriend, would turn out to be Chill.
I hoped for a big shocking reveal moment and all, but it was rather lackluster handled, same with the cofrontation.
That was highly dissapointing to me.
Outside of these complains, the game did a lot right with story, character, vibe.
A lot of nice small details how the characters behave etc that feel very nice.
It makes it sadder that the final act drops the ball there for me.
