Batman: Battle for the cowl

I'll have to read the series, but I was hoping Jason Todd would be the Red Robin. If he did, it could have both been considered a quest for answers (see BFTC3) and, in trying to find Bruce, redemption.

Also, before a colored pic of red robin and robin fighting ninjas on a roof showed up, I fiqured Tim would join in on the quest. We could have had a Jason/Tim team up and bonding like we had a Dick/Tim team up and bonding in Knightfall and Prodigal.

One can dream, I suppose:csad:

I don't think that Red Robin cover is supposed to be taken literally, it's more of a "past and present" thing showing two Tim Drakes. But agreed I'd much rather read a solo book about Jason than Tim. Not in that costume though, it's ugly, nonsensical and uncalled for

Jason Todd will be showing up in Batman & Robin, with "a new M.O" and apparently in a new Red Hood costume as well. A teaser image shows him with what looks like a sidekick called "Scarlet" standing in the shadows. This is all mentioned in the solicit for Batman & Robin #2 http://dcublog.dccomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/bmrob_1_dylux-31-copy.jpg

Where has it been said this new Red Hood is Jason?

It would actually be kind of cool if Joker ended up being the new Red Hood. After Batman is "seemingly dead", he doesn't know what to do with his life so he goes back to the Red Hood persona.

In the most recent issue of Batman and Robin there's a "preview" cover showing someone that looks strikingly like the Red Hood carrying two pistols the same way that BatTodd did and the same way Jason did even before that.

it seems likely from various scraps of info. it doesn't need to be said outright

1. Morrison has stated he would be using Jason Todd in B&R
2. A picture of the Jason Todd version of Red Hood appears in the "Batman & Robin" column on the editors wall chart. Why not a picture of the Quitely Red Hood?
3. Judd Winick is not using Jason and one of the most likely reasons for this would be "Morrison wants him"

It would be wild if one of Bruce's adopted sons turned out to be biological, and the so called biological son was not...a twist nobody sees coming.

Daiman = snarky roach.

I would really be cool if Dick found out he was Bruce's son and that Damien is his biological brother.

Also we all know that Bruce will eventually return but instead of reclaiming the Mantle of the Bat or Dick just automatically stepping down when Bruce returns I would rather see Bruce become an mentor/advise for a while (a year or longer) who operates out of the Batcave ala Batman Beyond...until of course he is forced to become Batman again for some brilliant reason yet to be conceived of.
