Sometimes some people prefer the original movie to the sequal. They might prefer the origin story more, or feel nostalgic about the first movie, or just generally feel the story and performances were better.

So which one do you guys prefer and why?

BB was my all-time favorite movie, but TDK was certainly a better movie. No corny one-liners, much better written, acted, etc. I've only seen TDK once, but I absolutely loved it...and from my best guess, it might surpass BB as my all-time favorite.

I think This is a GREAT movie. But i think i prefer begins. I think i may have to see this a couple times before i say anything

TDK, I didnt find it boring in any parts......Begins has a good 30 mins that will put you to sleep

Haven't seen TDK yet, but I love BB and I hope that BB and TDK work well together as a package. I think they will even though it's been said they feel like two seperate movies.

Agreed, I was worried that I was seeing it so late because I was afraid there would be boring parts like in Begins but I was wide awake the entire time. Probably because I was waiting for any scene with the Joker.

Right now, my vote goes to The Dark Knight.

Maybe that's because I just saw it?

... Nah, this movie was incredible. I stand by my opinion. :D

The Dark Knight is better than Batman Begins in almost every aspect. It's just a BIG improvement.

I loved Begins but Dark Knight for me is just a better film.

I'm with you. I just like origin stories better. I still gotta watch TDK again which I'll do in another hour. I need 2-3 good showings and let it marinate a bit before I make a final determination. But as of right now I prefer BB.

The Dark Knight is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better

but I still love both

If it werent for the action scenes in Begins I could rate it better. However the action is so choppy and the camera shakes so much in Begins that you can't see what's really going on. This is the same problem with the Bourne movies. It's not artistic or "intense" at all. It just meant that the director doest know how to shoot fight scenes. In TDK they actually backed the camera out a little bit and you can SEE the action, not entirely but better.

There is no doubt in my mind that as much as I love BB, The Dark Knight exceeds it in every aspect.

I like them both. Keep in mind Begins had a much better ending.

They're both just so damn perfect, but I'd go with Dark Knight.

...and to all the BB whiners, knock it off, Batman Begins was SUPERBLY written just like Dark Knight. No one scene can exist without the one before or after it. The twists and structure are mind boggling in both. 1 or 2 throwaway one-liners are not the end all of the writing PROCESS ya mooks.

My brain is still processing the godlyness of the movie.

One of the best of all time personally.

*dies*

Oh yea much better than begins

The Dark Knight, by far. Nolan and co. pretty much fixed every complaint I had with Begins--corny one-liners, uncomprehensive fight scenes, overtly diadactic monologues (or none that Joker didn't handle perfectly) that presses your face into a theme like a dog that just pissed on the rug, having more uses for Gordon, e.t.c..
