According to BOF the Joker will look like the Joker we all know and love, just probably without the purple suit. He will have a white face, green hair - as far as his lips goes, i dont care if they are naturally red or if he uses lip stick.

And then there's his comment about Hoffman not being Penguin because he's now a high profile actor and the Penguin role will only be small. I mean, anyone seriously could have just infered that.

Oh yeah, Jeff Goldblum as the Joker, there's a GREAT idea...

You people get WAAAAAAAAAAY too hung up on appearances, you know that? If it's appearance you're concerned about, Bettany's got a narrow jaw and a heavy brow, plus he's tall and skinny, and looks good in a purple suit. But appearances don't count for anything. There's a thing called makeup, they can work MIRACLES.

What we need to be concerned about is ACTING TALENT. You mentioned Jeff Goldblum.

I'm sorry, but have you EVER seen Jeff Goldblum do anything that could even slightly be referred to as acting?!? I love the guy, he's loveable, but he's not a great actor.

Bettany is an actor. Give him good material and he can do fun things with it. This is what we see in Bettany. He's a GOOD ACTOR.

Goldblum is an American treasure but I dont see him as the Joker. Any eccentric or mad scientist roles though and he's your man. I cant think of anyone besides Bettany that can do flamboyant, theatrical and charismatic, but also be incredibly evil and sadistic

Compare Bettany to the DKR Joker - he is perfect IMO. Also I think he resembles the Lee Joker. The thing is that "looking" like the Joker is a flawed argument because there are hundreds of different renditions of the Joker.

I think Bettany looks like the TAS Joker, too... but as you say, looks are irrelevant because, A) there have been so many renditions of the Joker, and 7.) actors can wear makeup.

I agree I do see a resemblence (there was one manip done that made Bettany look exactly like a frowning TAS Joker), but once I went back and reread DKR the other day I was shocked at the resemblence.

As you said, it is hollywood - if they can make Charlize Theron look butt ugly (Monster) they can make Bettany look like a crazy clown.

I agree there's a strong resemblance to the DKR Joker, I hadn't noticed that before. I unfortunately can't find any pix of the DKR Joker online, or I'd post one here beside a Bettany pic.

3.5/5 Stars. I dont like the color choice to much for this poster, and I personally dont like the The Story Conintues line. Very nice though.

5/5 Stars - I dont know why but I love this poster, I think the color works better on this poster than the above one (dont ask me why) and just the feel is fantastic. Plus you have Bettany as Joker - major plus. I can even forgive the The Story Continues Line, I like the poster that much.

BATMAN III (Batman Triumphs):

Again I love the poster, the color scheme is also nice. 5/5

Maybe its because I see posters with stances like this very often but it does not wow me as much as the others. 3/5
