Doomsday was severely lacking in the drama department. Superman's death and funeral were played way too generic.

The flashback scenes of ROTJ were more gripping, tense, and dramatic as anything I've ever seen in animation.

ROTJ was a bit crap imo the only goood parts where hamil as joker the final explanation for jokers return is ludicrus.
Superman/doomsday is another cheap cash in from wb it has no epic quality a story like the death of superman needs and the fight against doomsday is th only good part.

DCs only good animated flick is mask of the phantasm.

Cheap cash in? Neither ROTJ or Superman Doomsday are cheap cash ins.... arguably mystery of the batwoman was, but you know - it was the peak of the DCAU and I'm not going to fault them for making as much as they could as quickly as they could.

MOTP was great, ROTJ was great, and SMDD was great.

^People should just accept it MOTP was the complete package great voice cast and action sequences, the animation is a little dated but it is still DCs best later films seemed quickly made with gimmicks (superman/batman) that tried to gloss over a lack of interesting story.

I loved Return of the Joker, it was so good. So I pick that one,
but,
Death of Superman wasn't bad either. Especially the stuff they were now allowed to do, Superman vomitting a little blood, Doomsday swinging Superman by the upper jaw,
stuff like that, really good. And the story, In my opinion, was pretty good too.

They should do another, seperate, animated movie in a similar style called "Reign of Superman" all about that saga.

I also think New Frontier is going to blow all the others out of the water, at least I hope.

Easily RotJ. While S/D isn't really that awful, it doesn't have as much dramatic punch as ROTJ does.

I have to agree with Billy there should an option for both because both did kick ass but since there isn't I have to go with ROTJ DC. That movie was great I loved how the Joker really died in the DC cut as well as the fate of Tim and why there was never a side kick after him. Although I hate the fact Tim gave Bruce up.

Superman/Doomsday was great as well and I loved the action and I am a huge Superman fanboy but ROTJ just had a better story and more depth. Had they broke up Superman/Doomsday and showed how his death affected the Justice League as well as the world and did a better job on the Return of Superman I would have voted for it. But IMO The Death and Superman is to great to be told in just 70 to 80 min that should have been close to a 2 hr film or a little longer.
