Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 2

He's pretty amateur there. I thought he was decent in Texas Chainsaw 3D...but I also think that's been his high point out of what I've seen of him...so that isn't high praise. The man can improve, but nowhere near ready to make the leap into a leading or important character like Batman or Wolverine yet.

Bad acting or not, he's basically a perfect fit for Metal Gear Solid. If there was ever a franchise that allowed for ham acting, that is it.

A hard NO to him playing Batman, though.

To be honest that's why he's my main pick for an MGS movie.

If there's a videogame series where a movie based on it has next to no chance of working unless they take to the general lore and story with a machete, it's the MGS series. So I wouldn't exactly want an A list star as Snake. Plus, as you said, MGS is so goddamn weird and cooky that off acting would work pretty well in that world.

I'm not sure how I'd respond if that were to happen. I love Bale's Batman (my favorite live action version), but I'm on record saying I don't want him to come back. His story has been finished and I'd rather have someone else come up and do his own take on it.

C) it should be Amy Adams in the role anyway. Her warmth and especially looks fit Bev way more. Chastain leaves me feeling cold most of the time.

I don't get the love affair with Chastain in this role. I seriously don't. She looks nothing like Sophia Lillis. If WB was going to go after a big name, Amy Adams bares a far closer resemblance.

They're all the same these scoop people. I only started following Justin recently because of the Tarantino casting scoops that he had. He seems more legit than say Elmaybe, but he hypes things for nothing like the rest. I disagree about Chastain looking more like Beverly from the first movie though. When i saw IT i couldn't believe how much she looked and sounded like Amy. Jessica looks and acts nothing like her IMO, except for having red hair. The young actress even plays young Amy Adams in the upcoming HBO mini series "Sharp Objects".

I think it's too soon for Bats. I'd say summer would be ideal for casting news.
