Y’know (I might get an odd look for this), Clooney as Batman and Pitt as Joker in the late 90s could’a been something special.

Batman 1939

Jake in the cowl.

Beautiful.

JAKE seems the best Known option.

If he doesnt want it, go for an unknown/rising actor.

I still dont get how Affleck got the role back in 2013. Was this simply on the back of Argo's success at the Oscars? I'm surprised Hamm didnt get the role back then.

Affleck got the role because he was suppose to direct the Batman movie, that was the whole hook.

and he brings in the prestige, brand, skills and passion for Batman...until they all turned into groping, lack of passion, and family/personal turmoils...

Cause he still had two more years of Mad Men?

I remember when JGL was rumored to play Bruce Wayne, despite Dark Knight Rises. Good times.

Outside the box suggestion.

Reid Scott

Still firmly planted in the Tom Cullen camp.

Good point. Im pretty sure he could have gotten the final season (7 was divided into 2) delayed for filming.

I could definitely see young Brad Pitt as Joker. He has done much of his best work playing quirky or crazy characters. I'm sure back in the 90's everyone was picturing him as Captain America, Cyclops or some other similar hero when they should have been thinking along the lines of Joker or Deadpool.

He was one of my Joker picks for a long time. Now I wouldn't think he'd bother with the energy.

As far as Batman really just watching or have been watching some Karl Urban films and to be honest especially now I can see Urban in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman

Jake G has too much range to settle for a character like Hal Jordan.
He's at his best playing dark tormented characters. So the world of Gotham City makes perfect sense.

Cooper a better fit for Bats than Gyllenhaal? Lmao, ummm no. Why? Because he's tall? All anyone has to do is watch Enemy and bingo.

I'd be down with Colin Farrell.

I doubt it. Star of the show or not, not every lead actor gets that treatment or power.

Minus the skills.

Clooney only should have cast as errand boy number 3.

Hell even Nathan Fillion works as Bruce Wayne/Batman especially if you are going to keep up with an older Batman
You mean there are humans who take Nathan Fillion seriously? Hal maybe. Bruce?

Cooper is Maxwell Lord duh.
Michael C Hall.

This whole 'Urban for Batman' thing needs to die.

Will never happen in a million years.

He doesn't have the range.

I agree Urban doesn't have great range, but I think Batman is right smack dab in what his range actually is. That said, I agree that he won't ever land the role, he just doesn't put butts in seats, even though I think he'd make a good Batman.

Because he's not as boyish as Jake, he can be commanding and intense, and it be believable. Again, I think Jake is one of the better actors right now, I just don't like him in this role.

And I think they do need someone with good chops for Hal Jordan to work properly, it already failed once, they need someone to really knock that role out of the park if they want to have a successful Green Lantern franchise.

How about Bradley Cooper? Even though I know he is a part of the MCU as Rocket but he is more or less a motion capture character voicing an MCU hero but with Cooper playing Bruce Wayne/Batman he will be playing a character who is actually a live person

Or how about Ryan Gosling?

Then there are others such as Matthew Goode, Richard Armitage, Josh Hartnett or Hamm
