If not Jake G, then who?
It'd have to be a complete unknown.
Well, Clooney donned the cowl. So, the next obvious choice would be Brad Pitt.

I'm surprised Hamm didnt get the role back then.
Cause he still had two more years of Mad Men?
I remember when JGL was rumored to play Bruce Wayne, despite Dark Knight Rises. Good times.
Screw the universe stuff
This is the Batman movie we need right now
Yknow (I might get an odd look for this), Clooney as Batman and Pitt as Joker in the late 90s coulda been something special.
I could definitely see young Brad Pitt as Joker. He has done much of his best work playing quirky or crazy characters. I'm sure back in the 90's everyone was picturing him as Captain America, Cyclops or some other similar hero when they should have been thinking along the lines of Joker or Deadpool.
I doubt it. Star of the show or not, not every lead actor gets that treatment or power.Good point. Im pretty sure he could have gotten the final season (7 was divided into 2) delayed for filming.
Minus the skills.Affleck got the role because he was suppose to direct the Batman movie, that was the whole hook.
and he brings in the prestige, brand, skills and passion for Batman...until they all turned into groping, lack of passion, and family/personal turmoils...
Clooney only should have cast as errand boy number 3.Yknow (I might get an odd look for this), Clooney as Batman and Pitt as Joker in the late 90s coulda been something special.
You mean there are humans who take Nathan Fillion seriously? Hal maybe. Bruce?Hell even Nathan Fillion works as Bruce Wayne/Batman especially if you are going to keep up with an older Batman
Michael C Hall.Cooper is Maxwell Lord duh.
As far as Batman really just watching or have been watching some Karl Urban films and to be honest especially now I can see Urban in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman
This whole 'Urban for Batman' thing needs to die.
Will never happen in a million years.

He doesn't have the range.
Jake G has too much range to settle for a character like Hal Jordan.
He's at his best playing dark tormented characters. So the world of Gotham City makes perfect sense.
Cooper a better fit for Bats than Gyllenhaal? Lmao, ummm no. Why? Because he's tall? All anyone has to do is watch Enemy and bingo.
Why use Hal at all? How about Stewart or Baz?
