Im sure he does have some support. You have just gone about this all wrong. All you've done is really post pictures of him, most of which haven't been very appealing, and then never back it up with examples of how and why he'd make a good Wayne/Batman, it takes more than being handsome...Peoples frustrations with you have led to them being completely turned off by the idea of Bomer for the role.

He finishes filming Mad Men season 7 in Jan-Feb, then starts filming Batman/Superman in Mar-Apr? No doubt Snyder would put him on the same Gym Jones schedule that Cavill was on. He can't be doing that whilst filming Mad Men. It's just not feasible.

As you say atleast 6 months of training is required. The actor cast would have to maximum start training by October if he is to be ready by March April to begin filming.

I think it would be more realistic if people factor in the schedules of the TV actors before suggesting them. I myself have been suggesting Joe M but I kind of know that his show will absolutely not give him time off.

It might not always fit neatly with elements of the backstory, but if an actor just gets the persona, and acts it out so well that you forget that they don't exactly fit the canon look of the character, then I personally could care less what skin color that actor has.

But, I think WB fears they will lose money if they cast a black actor .
I disagree with them .

I'm unsure about Idris Elba. He seems to have the cold and reserved thing down, but not really the kind of sharp intensity that Bruce Wayne has. Maybe that's just because of the roles I've seen him in though.

Outstanding choice! He's got the face, he's got the physique, he's got the voice! His voice is honestly badass, the way he was barking those orders and speeches in Pacific Rim, got your blood boiling, he could have played King Leonidas in 300, his voice was so awesome. And he can also be badass and menacing.

A big problem though - for the cowl, you HAVE to be clean shaven and Elba looks weird without either a mustache or beard.

There's nothing inherent in the character of Bruce Wayne/Batman that says his ethnicity has to be Caucasian (White), especially in the multi-ethnic, multi-racial society we currently live in. Wayne might be an 'Anglo' surname, but, with adoptions being commonplace these days, there's absolutely no reason why Bruce couldn't be of non-white ethnicity.

And Bale wasn't White American, but he made it work (as did Cavill with Superman).

I agree, the persona is everything. Race is of no relevance if the necessary persona is delivered.

He has to be white because he's always been white and works fine the way he is. He's not an obscure character or one that's been lagging for years in need of a reboot, if it's not broke, don't fix it, Batman should remain white.

It is broke if they cast a white actor that doesn't fit the part. I mean you'd rather they cast a non-white guy with the skill to play Batman/Wayne than a white guy without the skills. Superman was Asian in "Lois and Clark", and Dean Cain got rave reviews. President Obama is a better fit than Bush, easily.
