Armie Hammer or Joe Manganiello? Height is sort of an issue for both. They are both tall guys, maybe too tall both are 6'5. What if you had to pick one and not say neither.

I'd pick Joe M. On film he won't look so much taller if they just use the right angles. Sort of how Hugh Jackman's Wolverine doesn't always look so tall.

Joe M isn't a bad actor but Hammer is much better. I've recently cooled on Hammer being Batman though. He goes out of his way to bad mouth the idea anyway so what does it matter if I liked him for the role or not?

I thought Armie Hammer sucked in Lone Ranger, I think Joe Manganiello is a pretty good actor honestly. Joe Manganiello over Armie Hammer for sure

Seriously? Yeah I thought Armie Hammer was a weak spot in j edgar, especially the older scenes. Joe Manganiello could have leading man potential, i don't see that in Armie

I thought Leo was the one giving the bad performance in J. Edgar and Hammer saved me from turning off that lousy film. I know I'm not allowed to criticize the great Leo but I do anyway.

I am thinking Hammer, because I want to like him. I just...can't bring myself to. I don't like how he acts in real life...he's too close to the yuppie *****e he plays in Social Network for me, and too pretentious acting. That said, Joe Manganiello is a much bigger *****e (but in that meathead way), so I dislike him more.
