I think he's wasting himself on True Blood. I mean sure he got his break there, but the role is the side role of a side role. He doesn't contribute in any way to the main plot. The werewolf storyline is just lame and uninteresting. And he has to keep his True Blood look all the year round because that is pretty much the only thing he's getting. It's really hard to judge Manganiello. True Blood writing for his character is crap; he doesn't have much depth. People complain about the long hair and bearded look, but he plays a freaking werewolf on TB. What the heck is suppose to look like? Not really fair to base it off that.
3 years ago, but is this less "*****e" for you.

Joe M by default. Hammer seems kinda really fruity to me, just your typical priveliged super rich socialite. He can work in comedies and stuff. But I could never take him seriously as a badass. That Arm & Hammer is hilarious.
Armie Hammer or Joe Manganiello? Height is sort of an issue for both. They are both tall guys, maybe too tall both are 6'5. What if you had to pick one and not say neither.
I'd pick Joe M. On film he won't look so much taller if they just use the right angles. Sort of how Hugh Jackman's Wolverine doesn't always look so tall.
Cavill was free to do movies because he finished shooting the last of his TV shows in early 2010.You brought up a good point Slumcat... Now I think Jon Hamm and Joe Manganiello might not have much of a chance at this.
And a film actor like Orlando Bloom can because he's not as busy.
So even though many would want Jon or Joe, it may go to film actor rather than TV one.
I think this is a very valid contender. This is the worst thread on the entire Hype.
Since he was announced for MOS in early 2011, almost 3 years ago, he's had only 2 projects, one fell through - The Great Wall and the other he's shooting next month - The Man From UNCLE.Consider the source. Some WB execs said it would be the film of the year. These guys are not going to say anything negative about the film before it comes out.
I can forgive Cavill on that, but his inability to rise above the film's flaws worries me. Cavill hasn't worked in almost 2 years. He's read scripts and such but studios and directors aren't rushing to cast him. Not a good sign.
He was also the only one to screen test for that part. Ouch. Apparently Snyder's chosen one from the start as Routh was Singer's.
Hire an actor for their looks and not their ability to portray one of fiction's most iconic characters.
Really great choice. Absolutely superb actor, very charismatic, can be very threatening, can be very brooding, can be very charming.I just remembered this Venezuelan actor suggested by quite a few several pages ago.
Edgar Ramirez (36 years old, 5'10)
He was in Wrath of the Titans as Ares and Zero Dark Thirty and Carlos.

He's got the look for Bruce Wayne, his ethnicity is not an issue at all, just whether or not he can play an American with the right accent.
I'm not feeling Edgar Ramirez's look. His face looks chubby to me.

Oscar Isaac was suggested? Hmm, I don't really see it right now. I wonder if he was suggested just because he was in SuckerPunch? Not feeling it either. I'm not feeling Oscar Isaac's look for it either, even though i really like him as an actor
