Okay, I'm off Jeff D. from BURN NOTICE (for now), and after reviewing SYFY BEING HUMAN am now solidly behind Sam Witwer. Anyone who knows the show can see he can go from charming and gregarious to haunted and brooding to deadly dangerous at a moments notice. He's young and has a respect for genre fiction. He's the total package people. I now wait for everyone to be merciless in being dismissive of my opinion.
Anyone see the AMC movie talk hosts and their piece about Batman casting?

Well the guy threw out an outlandish suggestion. Jason Mamoa... obviously he couldn't play Bruce Wayne dead if he was shot and killed. But what about Mamoa as Batman? I think he represents that stark contrast from Cavill and Bale that audiences would definitely be intrigued in seeing. Crazy outside of the box choice, but interesting.
How can somebody call Luke Evans a God? Or "very talented". He's an average actor. He has some screen presence ill give him that, but he's nothing fantastic in the acting department. He's been solid in doses in the past but nothing more.

Yes, but... his face looks like it was burned with fire and chopped up with an ax and then bathed in hydrochloric acid or something... at least that's what the internets tell me...
The internet lies. I read that on the internet somewhere.
Watch some Being Human before you dismiss him out of hand. And if you think he's too "weathered" still, well 20yrs of training to be the world's greatest detective and hand to hand combatant will leave some impressions on the body.
I also don't believe at all the talk about them looking for an older actor anymore. A WF film, with the possible but likely follow up films that would include Batman (Trinity, JL, a solo Batman series) means they have to skew younger to my mind.
since we're just throwing out names of actors... how 'bout Dominic West??

That's ridiculous, what are you...
He kind of looks the part. If he can act (haven't seen anything he's in) then it could work.
Batman walks into the room
Superman looks at him sternly
Batman: "What the **** did I do?"

That's a C grade film! I think he must have signed either just for the kicks or for the money (though I can't imagine the money being that good either). He's definitely not fantastic, things like that WWE film shows he can be awful (but then again it was a WWE film). But he's a lot better (not to mention a legitimate candidate being a star in WB's The Hobbit) than some of the other candidates being mentioned and was definitely good in FF6. But I do agree he's never given a stellar performance.
I'd rather him than Bloom, Hoechlin, Momoa, Kitsch.

You can't judge his acting skills based on that. I think he had very good presence and a very good performance in Tarsem's Immortals. It is a supporting role but he makes a big impression as the all powerful Zeus. He was better than Cavill in the film.
That's surely a conversation starter. You know right opinions or not wrong or right, they are just opinions, each as good or bad as any other? Moving on...Bullsh**.
I think all Cavill did in the film was take his shirt off a lot. It was a wooden performance in a wooden role. But the film was designed to be that way and I quite like the film. The gods got some good material and they were all better I think.I like Evans and all, but he was barely memorable in that movie. He hardly even did anything except scream at people in a few scenes. Cavill was one of the few redeeming qualities in that mess of a film.
