^ I think that Armitage is an accent away from the role, while Bentley is an action role away from Batman. Urban's nailed the accent and can do action oriented roles, but I feel like his Wayne would feel off somehow. Don't ask me why.

Jim Caveziel would probably do a really good Bruce and Batman, and I feel like Hamm would do the most organic job of coming across as sophisticated. Hamm looks a bit older than he is, though. He's only several months older than Armitage.

In a perfect world, Fassbender would be available.

But we don't live in a perfect world.

So let's settle for someone who looks the part, has a deep voice, can do action, can be sympathetic, and can pass for younger if the script calls for it.

And so..

His eyes scream Batman, his face screams Bruce (even his hair), and his voice hollers out Batman. And his Strike Back action scenes beg for Batman, assuming this isn't a stuntperson doing all the work.

His American accent screams "help!" but he has a whole feature to perfect that one flaw before MOS2/(WF?) gets filmed.

#TeamArmitage

He may end up putting a unique spin if he was cast. So it may help his accent if he changed his voice slightly.

^ I was talking about his American accent :P[YT]rnsJzfjMveA[/YT]

He'll need a coach for this one, I think.

I see :hehe:

I'm sure he could sort it out though. Not difficult really.

Jude Law could be better because he's not an obvious actor for the role. Much like Michael Keaton.

Jude Law really is a most accomplished actor. He's really very good.

But can he best badass, scary, terrifying? The jury is out on that one.

On Armitage's American accent: I'm sure he would get there. Accents aren't the hardest thing to do: they take work, but then click.

It's not just that. It's whether or not he can give a good performance while doing the accent. It's hard for some actors to do both.

:funny:

Geez, some of you make it look like he has a extremely long nose or something

He still looks human to me.

People like to over react about others who have even the slightest larger noses than everybody else. As someone who has a similar nose to Armitage, I empathize. But like me, I doubt he let's that get in the way of his life.

I'm still not on board with Armitage either, but I'd take him over Brolin and Bentley in a heartbeat.

I'm not sold on Armitage either for now, but he's someone I can definitely grow to to completely accept. But yeah, him over Brolin and Bentley any day of the week.

Yeah,he can.Watch Road to perdition and Repo Men.

But Keaton wasn't perfection. His Bruce Wayne, which I loved, wasn't the comic character.

Yes, his performance as Batman was great and expected.

However, I wouldn't apply this argument to Law. I've seen enough to know he's not and could never be Batman. Repo Men just shows me he'd be a good villain. No Batman vibe at all from there.

BUT... did you get a Batman vibe from Keaton prior to 1989? It's from that perspective one must see things when discussing this

No. Because he wasnt in a role that'd make you think of him as Batman prior.

Law has been in those roles to an extent. No good for Bats.

Viggo Mortensen is pretty old now. But I'd like to see him don the bat cowl

What about Goran Visnjic?

He's 6'4, so maybe too tall for Cavill's 6'1?

Chris Pratt would have been good but as usual Marvel bagged him first.

Yeah,he can.Watch Road to perdition and Repo Men.
Can he be physically dangerous? And a built guy with great screen presence? I have never seem him like that. He might not be able to pull of the physical aspects of the role.

But I greatly admire him as an actor. Recently saw Steven Soderberg's Side Effects and he was very good. The movie was good as well.
