Batman: Hush or Batman: The Long Halloween.

long halloween.people still refer to it as one of the greatest batman stories, and its gotta be ten years old.

The Long Halloween by far!

I've just seen a small piece of Hush but TLH IS the batbible, especially for TDK !:woot: :trans: :trans: :trans:

the long halloween. i like jim lee better than tim sale, but tlh is a better story. loeb has no idea how to write the joker in either though

The Long Halloween. Alberto Falcone is a really interesting character ad The Joker isn't done too badly. But the plane thing was just dumb. I would rather see him going nuts with a machine gun to try and draw Holiday out into the open. But all in all it was a brilliant story and I'm glad I bought it. Hush was very good too but my biggest criticism lies in the fact that we never saw Tommy Elliot before that story and are then expected to swallow that he and Bruce Wayne are best buds. Maybe that stuff washes in Smallville but in Batman? Not so much.

!?! the only scenes in any loeb book i've read (i haven't read catwoman when in rome yet) that feels like the joker is when he breaks into dent's house and when he poses as the waiter. other than that he seems completely insignificant in everything.

They're both worth buying, cause they're both great, but TLH is mo bettah.

TLH.
I personally didn't like Hush at all, so its personal preference.

Neither--Dark Victory.

Hush and TLH kinda piss me off when it comes to their murders in their mysteries. The former was extremely obvious and the latter made no f**king sense.

Dark Victory was a murder mystery. Pretty much a rehash of TLH but better.

I actually really enjoyed HUSH, but have yet to read Hush Returns. For me, I prefer Hush as I read that one first, so it had that initial wow factor, but the thing that tipped it in favour of TLH is the Joker, even though his part is small, his character in TLH is perfect, and I think the closest to TKJ Joker I've seen recently.

sorry to edit, but rather than posting again, I just wanted to say that I thought the plane thing in TLH with the Joker was great, showing that he really see's no issue with taking out the entire city for the sake of one person, and enjoying it because he's THAT crazy.
