Whast do you think of the Animated movie?

Wasn't as good as the other Batman DTVs, but not bad. haven't watched it in a wile, but I remember being impressed with the animation more than the other animated films.

Your training is nothing! The will is everything... the will to act.

Aaaaauuuuuhmmmm......weeeeeeelllllll. Been so long, I'mma look for clips of B:MOTB on YouTube.

I loved the song "Betcha Neva" from Cherie, it's got a very good beat.

As far as the other TAS films, this doesn't stack up for obvious reasons. There's nothing too terribly influential to the TAS mythology that occurs (unless you count Batman getting inspiration from Batwoman for the Beyond suit) and the humor's a little bland.

The mystery element was a nice approach, though you can see the big twist coming in a fair amount of time.

Penguin, Bane and Rupert Thorne are refreshing foils...though with the line of dialogue one of Kathy's bodyguards spits off it seems we can never ENTIRELY get away from referencing the Joker in some form...

Kevin, as always, does a fantastic job alongside the regulars (Zimbalist, Hastings, Costanzo) and there are great performances from TAS newcomers (Kyra Sedgwick, Hector Elizando, and even Kelly Ripa).

All in all a pretty decent watch. Definately can't be missed by HARD CORE Batman fans. But no way around it, it's ultimately a forgettable piece as opposed to "Mask of the Phantasm," "Return of the Joker," ... even "Sub Zero."

Mystery of the Batwoman - 3/5

There's no pleasing you intolerant perfectionists!! :cmad:

But no one can honestly deny the clips were enjoyable. And no one can honestly deny that B:MOTB is not among the best of the animated films. I'm starting to remember it. I shall vote on the poll now!

Are you messing around? That song is annoying, man. That's pop crap.

I agree with this. Although I prefer it to Sub-Zero, which is 70 minutes of Mr Freeze chasing Barbara around.

The two-git combo of Bane and the Penguin is a good and rarely used one, which I appreciated. Two serious, no-nonsense Bat villains together, the treachery of Cobblepott and the might of Bane.

And I love the drawn out, epic slugfest between Batman and Bane at the climax. Better than any fight in the live-action movies.

The reason I put "Sub Zero" ahead of "Batwoman" was because of Batman himself.

What I mean is, both "ROTJ" and "Batwoman" featured the TNBA re-design of Batman, while "Phantasm" and "Sub Zero" featured the original FOX TAS designs.

Unlike "Batwoman," whose Batman doesn't really differentiate in appearance from the TNBA series...IMO, the original Batman design looked it's absolute BEST in "Sub Zero."

In the original show it's obvious that Batman's appearance changes from one episode to another, and doesn't remain 100% on model all the time. He looked really good in "Phantasm" but Batman looks absolutely PHENOMONAL in "Sub Zero"...Robin and Freeze as well, but Batman especially.

I haven't seen Mystery of the Batwoman, so I think I'm gonna purchase it off Amazon, along with Sub Zero.

Finally watched it. Nothing amazing, but definitely better than I was expecting. I figured the mystery aspect would be the most interesting part, and I was definitely satisfied there.

Biggest criticism: the lame end title sequence. :)

7/10.

Well, there was no "mystery" about it. It was quite obvious. It's not Mask of the Phantasm but it is okay.

Liked it - it was the weakest of the animated bat-movies...

But it was fun and engaging all the same. They didn't want to do a big serious story and as Burnett states, they all wanted Bruce to 'get the girl'.

It fits... but i prefer Subzero over this - possibly even Batman versus Dracula (if only for animation)

It really put me to sleep. I vaguely remember Batman fighting Bane on a boat but it just couldn't hold my attention. And the music was a bit too much for me. Haha. :o

hmmmmm, seems rather disappointing...at least ONE animated feature filmm is good for sure, no need to name it...:o

All of them are good, albeit on varying levels. Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker are classics, Sub-Zero, Mystery of the Batwoman and The Batman Vs Dracula are enjoyable and worthwhile entries. And The Batman/Superman Movie is probably the most entertaining of the lot.
