Has anybody seen this episode with Oprah on the episode about B&R. I remeber watching it back in 1997. She invited Schumacher, Schwarzenegger, Clooney and O'Donnell. Has anyone have got this episode and can it upload on youtube?

People actually clapped after the clip was played. :lmao:

Schumacher said he was proud of the film. :lmao:

Yeah, quite silly, but what else could he say? he was promoting his new movie. Good that years later Schumacher actually aknowledges the crappynes of the film and didn't stay all stubborn or egocentric about it.

And what he said about Val Kilmer deciding for The Saint, what a good decision that was, I mean The Saint wasn't that much of a success but, The Saint or B&R? I don't think I actually have to elaborate on that.

there was probably a big blinking sign saying "APPLAUSE" after the clip.

He hasn't done that at all. He has apologised to people who enjoyed Batman Forever and felt let down by B&R.

Well I'm ok with that then, because I fell in that category, and I understand that not everybody does. But as much as I hate B&R is not like having Schumacher begging for pardon is going to change the movie, again my point is that he could be all stubborn and close minded and defend his movie til the end (is a movie director, I may be ignorant on the subject but I don't think is that common for them to aknlowledge mistakes, kind of an ego thing I guess). I just feel as if the guy is in a loose / loose situation in that regard, if he hadn't show any sing of apology he would be slammed for it, and when he does (wich he did) there's even a way to slam the guy, and for me he seemed sincere in his apology.

Sorry for deviating for the thread, anyways, Chris O'Donell didn't look too thrilled neither, he didn't say a word, did he?

i think you ppl are overreacting. after the campy B&R, we were bound to get a darker batman sooner or later. now that we do, i STILL dont see the point of all the bashing the film gets. it has its merits, even if it wasnt the best or anything. it was funny, colorful, FUN, had a better soundtrack then BB thats for sure. and even though i hated her in it, i'd totally pick uma thurman over katie freakin holmes. and at least george clooney didnt annoy the piss outta me when he talked.

Catwoman did the same thing when Halle came there to promote it. But the audience was full of women so.....

They're all pretty dumb being excited for a moment from seeing a film clips less than a minute in length.

Arnold probably doesn't look too thrilled because it wasn't long after his heart surgery, he might not have been too comfortable.

What about Joel's quote

I wanted to change Batman

He knew exacty the direction he was taking the franchise!

Heh. I have this on tape, I remember it well when it showed. Say what you will about B&R, but this movie had some major hype behind it.

Is it me or does the music in those scenes plays much more different than the this version? Does anybody know where i caould buy Batman & Robin with alternate music?

That must have been a temporary cue. I remember hearing Robin's theme in the theatrical version when he crashes through the wall on his Birdie-CYcle.

Elliot G was little lazy during the action scenes, it was copy from BF...

of course they were clapping for it because it didnt premiere yet at the time.
